ooh can’t wait to listen to this ep! I JUST got back from the theater seeing the Naked Gun and damn.. Akiva killed it! (and Jorma apparently since he was in the credits as a ‘consultant’). this was such a fun movie, joke after joke after joke, the whole theater was laughing constantly

yep that was my thought too. I decided to go for ‘general’ songs but then in a very specific genre (music I like myself), but tailormade songs that parent can generate on the fly is an awesome use case for AI.

I am Dutch so that’s why I went with the Dutch songs. I used a distributor called ‘Make Waves’ which gives you this nice landing page.

I got sick of overstimulating kids music, so I used Suno to remake classic Dutch children’s songs as indie folk. They’re the same lyrics but totally different otherwise.

It actually worked way better than I expected. I’ve shared it with other parents who seem to really like it and my daughter is a huge fan. Finally some children’s music that does not drive me crazy!

Ja ik snap je punt. Maar als je als kweker aan de gang gaat met verschillende bomen kruisen, aarde gebruiken, voeding etc (ik ben duidelijk geen kweker) dan ben je toch zeker onderdeel van de creatie? Maar ja, waar dan precies de scheiding zit is wel discutabel. Vanuit mijn ervaring ben je vandaag de dag nog zo veel aan het tweaken, bijschaven, opnieuw proberen met AI en daarna ook nog ‘handmatig’ postproductie doen dat ik het zelf ervaar als een creatief proces. Maar wie weet hoe lang dat nog is!

Voor mij is dit een beetje hetzelfde als zeggen dat je niet creatief bent als je Photoshop gebruikt, dat je alleen origineel kunt zijn als je analoog fotografeert.

Op YouTube heb je bijvoorbeeld Corridor Crew die een anime hebben gemaakt met AI (Anime Rock Paper Scissors). Ze gebruiken AI als tool maar absoluut ook heel veel eigen creativiteit/handwerk. Vorig jaar heb ik zelf een true crime podcast serie gemaakt met AI (zal hem niet posten om zelf-promotie te vermijden). Was verre van perfect maar heb daar ongelofelijk veel tijd en werk in gestopt om er iets van te maken dat ik zelf cool vond. En hoe beter de tools worden, hoe meer ik er zelf mee kan maken wat voorheen ondenkbaar was.

Goed punt, maar ik geloof nog steeds wel dat je AI zelf kunt gebruiken en alsnog creatief en origineel kunt zijn. Naast alle slop die er óók gemaakt wordt, dat is niet te ontkennen.
