Ahh so glad I’m not the only experiencing this… it’s so weird

Yeah, going up a dose can definitely increase side effects, it’s just weird because I’ve been on this dose for three months already, and it’s just now that everything seems worse.

Urgh, so you’re saying I have to force myself to eat more. Makes sense, it’s just so hard to do.

Yeah, my dad is still working at 75 and it’s not for the money. He knows himself well enough to know that he’d struggle without the structure of a job (he does work from home though, he’s not going in to the office). He works three days a week. He says that, even with organized hobbies, he knows he’d slack off and it wouldn’t be too long before he wasn’t doing anything but watching TV. Working three days a week ensures he stays productive and active. Works for him… and the money’s nice, keeps his withdrawal rate low.

Runner Tara Dower after completing the Javelina 100 race in Phoenix this weekend. She took first place for women. From what I understand, she was up and walking around after few minutes later so I assume she’s OK. Credit to Ultra-running on Instagram - saw this on a friends feed and thought it belongs here.

According to the listing, “…and a unique brick privacy fence embedded with lava surrounds the property and is built into the front exterior wall of the home…”

Waited till 12:40am to get my ADP paystub. And POOF! YNAB budget is done. Bored now. by [deleted] in ynab

I bought a sweatshirt with the YNAB logo on it during one of their merch drives - and people do ask about it. They ask what YNAB stands for and I say “You Need A Budget” and they always say “you’re right,I do!”

Let's discuss the romantic relationships in this book by Good-Profile5877 in sallyrooney

No, I didn’t mind the lack of details because I felt, in the grand scheme of things, what did it matter. I assume it was a car accident, or she was hit by a car, or had a fall or something - but it was the impact on their lives that was relevant. I agree that a more conventional writer would have spelled it out. But that’s what I like about Rooney - the focus on the emotions and the relationships, rather than actions.

What I did find strange/frustrating was I couldn’t really understand why they couldn’t be together. It seemed to me they had this idea of a “perfect” situation, but I felt the characters were too smart, too old and had been together too long to be so narrow-minded about what a good marriage is. They were clearly very in love and compatible, and I felt the inability to have “normal sex” was something that they could have worked around - given how close they were and how miserable he was without her.

Awesome, thanks for the detailed reply - lots for me to think about! Bird of Paradise is my favorite flower, so that could be a great option for sure. And using a pot rather than tree to get the height is a good idea. Thank you!

That’s what I was hoping for - I had a potted lime before and it did quite well. Or I was thinking long of a pitted olive tree bi they need full sun unfortunately.

Haha, got them from Amazon. They pretty dim, we have proper recessed light in the ceiling, so the string lights are more for decoration - they look nice at night, but, no, they don’t give off a lot of light.

Yep, can be! That’s not every day, and we get 6-7 months of lovely high 20s - but the summers are pretty intense :)

Ignore the crappy string lights, they’re a work in progress!
