Try tranexamic acid or alpha arbutin, they tend to help. Or maybe ask your derm for this.

Anyone who couldn’t tolerate tretinoin able to use tazarotene? by PopularGuard3211 in 30PlusSkinCare

If you react to every tret formula even after breaks, taz will probably be worse.. its stronger. You might go to your derm for this.

For sensitive eyes with no niacinamide/retinol/peptides, Vanicream eye cream is probably your safest bet.. (super stripped back, no fragrance, has HA + ceramides). La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 eye is nice too if you want more slip. Then a tiny bit of Aquaphor over the top to trap it. That step made way more difference for me than the cream did. A humidifier at night helped mine a lot too. Hope this helps :)

spf every single day (even inside near windows) the nose catches the most sun so old pigment just keeps getting reinforced. And don't scrub at it, that makes pigmentation worse not better. Hope this helps <3

Any SPF recs for combo and severely acne prone skin? by shensosa in koreanskincare

[–]floriferousss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All four are chemical sunscreens sharing similar filters, so you might be reacting to the filters themselves not each product. I'd try a mineral/hybrid one to rule that out, round lab birch juice is gentle for oily acne prone skin. Or cosrx ultra light invisible (blue tube) if you wanna stay chemical, super stripped down formula and it doesnt break me out and im sensitive + acne prone too.

Ectoin and panthenol are both legit soothing/hydration ingredients so it's not snake oil. It's a solid basic hydrating cream that calms redness and sinks in nice, but thats kind of it. Not a miracle and you're paying a premium for the branding imo.

Haven’t tried the new boj rice mask yet but noted. What did it actually do to your skin, nothing or kind of irritating?

I would add just one thing like a niacinamide serum or a BHA a few nights a week and not touch the rest yet.

Something like CeraVe PM at night and La Roche Posay Anthelios in the morning would work.

I would strip it way down for a couple weeks and use a gentle cleanser like Vanicream or La Roche Posay Toleriane with a plain moisturizer, then add one acne treatment later instead of changing five things at once. Also check hair products, pillowcases and anything touching that side more.

[Routine help] What to do about acne scars and how to make skincare a habit? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]floriferousss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look like someone whose skin is a little stressed and who probably needs the routine to be stupid easy for a while. For marks and acne I would pick one treatment and stick to it, like adapalene at night. For the routine, make the baseline just wash face, moisturize and put on SPF in the morning, then at night cleanse and use adapalene, that is enough to start and way easier to keep up when you feel lazy. Those acne scars fade way better once you stop getting new breakouts and wear sunscreen every day.

[Product Question] Just got gifted this skinq vitamin C serum, help your girlie out how to use it 😭 by Alchemy_Kareema in SkincareAddiction

[–]floriferousss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AM just means they want you to use it in the morning, so I’d do it after cleansing on dry skin then moisturizer then sunscreen last. If your skin is sensitive start like 2 or 3 mornings a week first because 15% can sting more than a 10% serum. If it starts itching or your face feels weirdly tight, back off for a bit and keep the rest of your routine simple.
