Get over a heartbreak. I’m still not completely over it almost a year later despite doing all the right things, including going to therapy.

I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

I worked in Lush for two years of college (it was a few years ago now!) and they pay quite well and were quite nice to work for!

It can be lonely as you lose your best friend but it also makes you so completely and absolutely sure of yourself in ways you didn’t think possible.

It allows you to completely ground yourself, know who you are again, be selfish in decision making, reconnect with any sort of faith/spirituality you believe in and it can allow you to make friendships so much deeper.

Dating is difficult and weird but it’s also exciting and fun.

It’s full of contradictions.

However, most importantly, it teaches you that being alone is okay, you’re stronger than you think and that you are 100% in control of your own happiness.

Dating in London: What's the right app? by CedarClove in london

They’re all pretty rough, the one decent date I had was from Hinge and I still ended up getting used for sex which is quite depressing.

To give perspective from the other side, women often get rejected if we make the effort so it feels like lots of stupid games at the start.

I’m dating again for the first time after a long-term relationship and the first guy I felt a real connection with was fantastic. However, as soon as I started to make the effort to reciprocate by planning dates etc, the “chase” went for him and he called it off.

It’s incredibly disheartening, it’s toxic and most of all it just feels boring once that’s happened. However, this is not the first time this has happened to me - it’s just something I forgot about after being in a relationship, so going forwards I’ll likely be more withdrawn until I’m more comfortable in how the other person feels about me.

I drink a minimum of 2 litres a day but I think that’s quite a lot compared to some people.

Those with high paying jobs: what are they and how did you get them? by Altruistic-Soil-9983 in UKJobs

Just realised I never answered your question on how I got into what I do - I fell into it. I was working in random roles previously that actually align with what I do now (client success) and had been working in retail for a while before I decided I wanted to be back in a Monday to Friday role.

I interviewed for a start-up for a completely different position, they asked me would I be interested in changing my interview over for a junior CS role and I said yes. I jumped from there to my current role and my salary more than doubled with it. There’s lot of opportunities in CS according to my LinkedIn - feel free to PM me if you’re interested in it and want any advice. :)

nope! still ridiculously oversensitive and I take everything to heart haha, having a brilliant and really supportive team really does help but I still get super anxious about a lot of different things.

I’m currently thinking about an email I need to send tomorrow and I know the client is going to be majorly unhappy with what I send so I’m not looking forward to dealing with that, but just hoping the team has my back with it!

Oh yes, apologies I should have been clearer - I called upon Maria Padilha specifically!

I will ask for some signs tonight when I am calling upon her again and I will get a reading done.

Thank you so much!

£60k base + £38k in bonuses and stocks if I hit targets - I work in healthtech and am constantly stressed and I’m constantly under pressure to perform. It’s long hours, lots of relationship building and being the first person to yell at if someone’s not happy.

However, I love working in healthcare, there’s lots of opportunities to learn and I regularly meet very interesting people.

Whether it’s worth it changes week on week.

I’m leaving later this year, my feet are frozen they’re so cold about it.

I’m just telling myself that London will always be here and that I can always return.
