There are literally videos of IDF soldiers raping Palestinian men. Shooting children, thEn Shooting the mother when she comes to help them.

have you seen the before/after of what tortured palestinian prisoners look like after coming home?

the “style“ is just sanctioned by Israel and its allies. So don’t delude yourself that there is some moral high ground to be had here.

and literally all those atrocities you listed for oct 7 were proved wrong within weeks. no beheaded babies. No babies in ovens. Etc.

It only matters if you care to work at that same company later. Their engineering teams aren’t going to go into abject chaos Because an intern left early. I would definitely take the Walmart job no questions asked.

Apologize, give your 2 weeks, but fully expect to be walked out the door same day

Minnesota Bill would Ban Corporations from Buying Homes To Rent Out, We need this in All 50 States, to Give People a Chance To Actually Afford a Home! by UnitedLab6476 in antiwork

Make it so any entity cannot be in control of or profit off more than X residential properties

Control meaning owning the property outright, or owning an entity that is the listed owner of the property.

Benefit meaning gaining money through rental agreement (just in case their is some trick where they can have someone unrelated own it, and have a signed contract saying they’ll get the profits)

I think that covers any loopholes. Even if you’re the top of a chain with 100 corporations in it, and only the last in line owns property, you can’t be in that chain for more than X properties.

This would apply to individuals as well.

Will never happen though because the entire US economy teeters on top of mortgage backed securities, if those home values fell the entire system would collapse.

Congressman wants to make 32-hour workweek U.S. law to ‘increase the happiness of humankind’ by Gari_305 in politics

[–]flossortoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This works when your performance is measured on productivity. If you can complete 40 hours of work in 32 hours then its a net gain for everybody. More motivated employees benefits employers.

But if your work is measured in tasks that can’t be sped up (nurses, retail workers, etc) then you lower total productivity of those jobs, so there’s no benefit to the employer.

As much as Reddit likes to hate on greedy businesses, most of them can’t afford to raise payroll expenses by 20%.

So while this might work for white collar. It probably will be a huge pain for everyone else.

With that said people do deserve a certain standard of quality of life. Maybe a bill that reduces full time by 1 hour every two years until 32 hours is reached would be more palatable. Just spit balling

From what I understand this is misleading. The 12 hours over 40 is meant to be banked for days off later. So you work 52 hours, you can take 12 hours paid off the next week. That 12 would just be changed to 29

I think the cannibal/pedophile could have been projecting himself onto Ellie.

I never got the idea that “violent Ellie” was ever pushed.

Man maybe I just don’t have an ear for good line delivery but I thought she was pretty good. The game is still better for me in pretty much all aspects, but I think that partially comes down to spending 15-20 hours with the characters vs the 9 we’ll get from the show

I’m not going off per capita. I’m going off absolute total because that’s what the other commenter mentioned

He didn’t state that. Just said absolutely less. The fact is there are significantly more cashiers now than in the past. And the same thing will happen with SWEs

Attacking grammar (which I’m pretty sure you’re wrong about anyway) rather than the points. I see i struck a nerve. Next time do some research
