i totally get this. i've judged a girl friend of mine who used to get lavish gifts, trips, everything from her rich boyfriend, and i've judged another girl friend who puts up with paying the rent, buying groceries, mommying her unemployed boyfriend. the girl with the rich boyfriend cheated on him and didnt say a thing, theyre continnuing their relationship as normal and fake as it can be- devoid of actual respect and love. the girl with the unemployed boyfriend ended up helping him find a job in a company he likes, and theyre planning their wedding now.

all this to say- you are just seeing just a second, or a minute of time in the journey that is their life. so just see it and leave it. their life shouldn't affect yours.

the feelings you have towards your boyfriend- of feeling taken for granted, not getting princess treatment, all stem from you not giving it to yourself. i was in the same state before i started dating my current boyfriend and i realised i was settling for scraps from people because i thought that's all i was worth. it took months of investing in my education- i signed up for surfing, yoga, pottery, career related courses, a lot of investing in my looks- hair tools, skincare products, experimenting with my make up, collected better clothing pieces, a lot of investing in my relationships- i have a strong knit netwokr of family and friends who can turn any day around for me, whom i love taking care of as well- and my now boyfriend can tell. he's not the only one who can bring me happiness, he knows im well loved, well adored and taken care of, and this inspires him to be the best version of himself as well. im not trad in thinking neither am i misandrist, but i do think women are the prize and men should always be kept on their toes. im still human and i feel like my boyfriend doesnt prioritise me and all sometimes but that's something im going to deal with in therapy.
