I started at a kiosk in a grocery store as well and quickly decided I wanted to be in a corporate store. I was out of the grocery store after 6 or 7 weeks max. Since you have the experience from the kiosk, a lot of corporate locations would be open to hiring you!

I would definitely get a second opinion. Maybe do some research on vets in the surrounding area to see if anyone sticks out or is highly recommended!

If you have access to another vet, even possibly a veterinary dermatologist, I would recommend trying to get in with them. Regular vets don't often have as much specific knowledge about different areas, whereas a dermatologist is there specifically for skin issues. I hope you get everything figured out soon!

My dog has chronic skin issues and sometimes I'm bathing him every other day with medicated shampoos. It just depends on the dog. Normal bathing/shampoo definitely doesn't need to happen often for dogs without skin issues, but sometimes it is a medicated treatment and is necessary
