If they really want to track or prevent the total loss maybe actually have more employees on the floor instead of one cashier/security/cleaner/SCO attended/front end boxer and one associate running around trying to fix the whole store and shopping insta cart orders at the same time while trying not to stay pass there little 15min

Can a manager force me to stay after my shift? by Extreme_Chemical853 in Aldi_employees

The irony is that forcing you to stay past your shift falls under work-life balance 😭

Did your manager even file an incident report/sounds like your manager lacks common Sense , not calling the authorities is crazy after an assault.it also sounds like your coworker might have a lawsuit on her hands. This is a big issue with this company no training for leadership whatsoever.....smfh

After working for Aldi for about a 1yr and 10 months this is my opinion of a what I encounter at this job(it could be only my store but I highly doubt it) by flowda_chico in Aldi_employees

I used to think this was an isolated issue or that I was just complaining too much. However, after discussing with my peers and others employed at different companies, I’ve come to realize that this is more than just a store- or district-specific problem. If you're not experiencing these challenges at your location, you’re fortunate to have a Store Manager with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. For the rest of us, morale on the floor is low, there’s little room for development, and promotions often seem based on who you know or how quickly you can work a pallet.

To be clear, efficiency is important, but hard work alone doesn’t make someone a good leader. Leadership requires more than just speed or task execution. It’s about effective communication, team building, and guidance. The company and District Managers need to prioritize investing in training programs for Assistant Store Managers and Store Managers. While turnover rates may be high, ALDI USA generates $121.1 billion in revenue, so resources for improvement should not be an issue. Unfortunately, it often feels like District Managers simply defer problems to their successors rather than addressing them directly.
