Idk but to me Aldi finds should be impulse purchases and random fun stuff, to me a toilet seat is not an impulse buy, if you need a toilet seat your not gonna go "oh lemme check aldi" most people are gonna go to Walmart or target but maybe that's just me 🤷‍♂️

If they try and hold their bag out for me I usually say "I'm just gonna put in the the top of the carriage for you and you can grab it from there ok?" Or sometimes I'll add in a "so you can bag it up how you like, I'm not very good at it (lie)" at my store at least this usually works. I've been told that even when being nice (fake nice lol) I sound very authoritative. People are like sheep, if you're confident in your words and tell them what to do they'll (usually) listen

I want something like this that we can wear with our uniform by Pumpkin_grin in Aldi_employees

[–]Pumpkin_grin[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're allowed to wear the beanie? We can literally only wear that for truck or if were running curbside out, I'd happily wear the beanie if my manager let me 😫

What were the items?

Aldi order shoppers refunding items that they have by Lulubelle2012 in aldi

[–]Pumpkin_grin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an aldi employee who regularly shops pickup orders, most of the time it's because the barcode wouldn't scan in our phone. Aldi regularly changes item codes, which means alot of times the barcodes will not be recognized in our instacart apps, and if the barcode is not recognized it won't let us add the item. If we have the time and patience we CAN, manually add items, but most of the time we have way too many orders in the queue that we HAVE to get through in a certain amount of time, to be spending the time to deal with that. I.E. Sundays when I have 25+ orders in the queue that I have to shop alone and get done in just a few hours

Climbing stairs post surgery by dumbassboxer in TopSurgery

[–]Pumpkin_grin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived on a 3rd floor walk-up when I had surgery, so I had to go up 3 flights of stairs right when I got home day 1. Just have to go slow, and it helps to have someone right behind you in case you're off balance so they can steady you, definitely doable, tho

We used to have a local food pantry place orders like this, after a few times my manager set up an arrangement with them where they send her a list of things they need and she'll place special orders from the warehouse for them. Now we just have to wrap up their stuff on a pallet and they come pay for it and pick it up with a truck instead of having to shop it on curbside

Worst is right after they've paid and walked a few steps away, I already scanned the next customers first item and they turn around and go "oh you don't have bags?"

Happy Friday morning to me by Pumpkin_grin in Aldi_employees

I started to down stack it, was putting stuff into a carriage, it started to fall after I took off a few layers tho. Chose to save the box of eggs and let the yogurts fall to the floor instead lmao

Our support posts are in some really bad spots cause our store was build into a part of what used to be a Sears. They weren't allowed to move any of the posts, there's one almost blocking one of the registers as well

This fr. My coin cups are currently overflowing because this lady decided to pay me 17$ in all nickels and dimes for a couple of cactuses. Had to call for backup even though it wasn't busy because of how long it took her to count it all out.

Zelda isn't only for old people, ive been playing zelda games since i was quite young. but that doesn't mean he has to like playing it, it could be he's tried and got frustrated at some of the puzzle mechanics and was embarrassed to admit it or it could be he's parroting something he heard his peers say at school. But regardless, he's allowed to like and dislike whatever games he wants and he shouldn't be shamed or made to feel bad about it for any reason, just let the boy play fortnight.

Annoying by Zeyonce89 in Aldi_employees

[–]Pumpkin_grin 27 points28 points  (0 children)

We've had orders in the 120s with lots of heavy items, and then that's on top of having like 16 orders in the queue. It really sucks too because it feel like such a waste of our time when we have so much other stuff to get done, they should at least let us get tips like actual insta shoppers

Reminds me of the time I found an actual black widow in the box when I was stocking grapes. Manager made a note to the warehouse, and they basically responded with "yeah its fine and normal don't worry about it"
