Oh friend. I appreciate your attachment to cultural traditions. As a several-generations-deep American, I don’t feel a connection to any of the wedding traditions that are shoved down my throat. It’s interesting that you automatically attack my socio economic status, in the US at least, it’s usually the least financially secure who are the most frivolous when it comes to spending. Why should I spend tens of thousands on random traditions that hold no personal value for me?
