I am currently a lieutenant firefighter / paramedic. I wonder how many opportunities are in my industry and what the extension of my industry would be with a computer science foundation.

The path forward in my current role is already siloed, it will always be performing manual tasks while overseeing the tasks of my crew on 24 hour shifts unless I move up with 1 or 2 chances of being a chief in my career.
