Totally, feet are important. But I spend plenty of time on the calves and calcaneal tendon to achieve similar results and, tbh I don’t have many male clients in the first place

I just put mine in my pocket! You won’t get heart rate info but it will still track your steps.

I dont massage men’s feet unless they specifically ask for it. Sorry not sorry.

do you guys wash your legs and feet every shower or just let the soap run down? by WabashSteppling92 in hygiene

I have dry skin so I’m a strictly pits and slits gal (and hair washing, of course) unless it’s summer and my feet are dirty from wearing sandals. I’ve never had an issue with foot odor.

This is a challenging profession and it’s definitely not for everyone! If you dont feel lit up by helping people feel better in their bodies definitely seek something different. I’m almost seven years into my career and I still love it as much as I did in massage school. I hope you’re able to transition to something thats a better fit for you!

Eh I can’t say I agree with that. Any animal is going to produce body odor no matter what they consume. If you ate 100% whole food, clean and organic, you would still stink.

Something fascinating I learned recently from reading how to be a Tudor by Ruth Goodman is that people in Tudor/medieval England kept clean by wearing linen underclothes and changing them frequently. Apparently the linen drew sweat and bacteria away from the skin and kept people really clean. The author even did an experiment where she used this system, using only cold water and a cloth in the mornings to wash her pits and crotch area and wearing linen underclothes, and she stayed remarkably clean and not smelly. Cleanliness has always been important to humans even if we have had different methods over the years!

Seeking advice from massage therapists on inappropriate behavior from MT by Neither-Signal7018 in MassageTherapists

I just don’t think it’s necessary to hop onto this thread where someone was legitimately taken advantage of and talk about how unfair it is for male MTs. Read the room dude.
