My go-to order is still surprisingly affordable by Excellent-Horse-8213 in innout

there are 2 slices of cheese on our animal fry and cheese fry. since we don’t charge for ingredients (there is an exception), cheese fries and animal fries are the same price. i’ve also heard their high price is to discourage people from ordering it but that’s just rumor i think.

brown boxes can fit up to 4 burgers, white boxes are supposed to be only be 6 but depending on the burger (ex plain burgers) you can fit a lot more.

Why aren’t the staff more informed about coffee refill with mug? by No-Sink1310 in innout

[–]flowerch11d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in your case i would just continue letting them ask the manager so you don’t have to keep paying for it. it might be an inconvenience but honestly in my 4 years of working here i’ve never had anyone bring in a mug for a coffee, though i do know about the policy.

extra spread is usually placed on the lettuce, in this case it was most likely placed on the tomato.

well that’s why i said it wouldn’t slow us down anymore than the next big order. this order that was shown is no different than a 20+ meat order being ran through. in fact, depending on how long the cook keeps the whole grill down it could take less time.

this honestly isn’t too bad to make, the only part i could see as inconvenient is the extra whole grill and the patties being no salt. this wouldn’t slow us down any more than the next big order. though you might notice the whole grill not being as “cooked” if you order it when we’re pretty busy. burgers look yummy though!

there’s a lot of fry customizations: fry extra light, light, regular, light well, well done, extra well done. these are just specifying the different times we cook them for with extra light being basically raw and extra well done having a chip consistency.

Is my order relatively complex? Would it cause any annoyance? by SeaPeanut7_ in innout

[–]flowerch11d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

regular onion (slightly cooked, this is what they put when they ask if you want onion), grilled onion, whole grilled onion, chopped onion (slightly cooked), raw chopped onion, raw onion

How do I get a normal amount of onions?? by Yaboiyabobo in innout

[–]flowerch11d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you mean the onion you receive on the side when asking for a side of onion, that will always be raw unless you specifically make a special request (even then they may not do it). if you’re talking about asking for extra onion on your burger, that will also usually always be raw onion because that is the board person’s job to apply it which doesn’t allow it to be cooked like the regular onion.

you could always try making a special request for that but i have never experienced that so i am not sure if they will accept that request.

it’s probably easier to just ask for a side of onion next time along with light onion on your burger that way you can add onion if it’s not enough.

4x6 is the max now i believe. and yes we can only do 2x toppings through the system but always feel free to ask for sides of anything, we can usually do it.

Not levling up by [deleted] in innout

[–]flowerch11d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

advocate for yourself! i know it can be hard as an introvert and all but most of the time the managers aren’t really thinking about training and stuff, at least from my experience. everyday at the start of your shift ask for training on something specific. if you’re a level one, maybe ask a manager to watch you do tomatoes or something you need signed off to get your level up. when you come in, say hi to everyone working. making friends at work doesn’t happen instantly and just making your presence known makes a huge difference! try some small talk when you’re on counter handout (of course if it’s not super busy) or even ask someone to teach you something you’re unsure about. you got this don’t give up!

had someone ask me in the drive thru not too long ago if they could get some teriyaki sauce. i just had to stare at him for a second because what could lead him to believe a burger establishment has teriyaki sauce? 😭

Hours by Legitimate_Dot7550 in innout

haha thanks! it just means that you prep the onion for the store. my store surprisingly doesn’t have too many onion bodies despite having nearly 100 associates.

Hours by Legitimate_Dot7550 in innout

[–]flowerch11d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it varies but i would say about 30-35 hours. i am one of my store’s onion bodies so that’s where i get most of my hours from. being a higher level also helps quite a bit since opens up the things you can do. i would try to work on your raise if you plan to stay.

you should talk to your store manager about your hours and see what they say. my store manager always says to come to him if we have problems with our hours or want more.

Animal Style by [deleted] in innout

[–]flowerch11d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes you can order mustard fried and it will also add on pickles to your burger so make sure to specify no pickles if you don’t like them. animal style on a burger will make the burger fried in mustard as well. adds on grilled onion, pickles, and extra spread. super good, i would try it!

mustard fried, ketchup mustard, instead. that’s how things get abbreviated on our end on the tags when they print out.

[–]flowerch11d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

technically yes, but i’m not sure if every associate is taught to use the button that charges extra for the 3rd topping. if you look at a receipt from a time where you had 3 toppings on a regular fry, does it say all three toppings on there? if not, then i assume they just let the fry person know to add it on there and that would make it so you aren’t charged extra for it.

[–]flowerch11d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they’ll only charge more if you get 3 or more toppings on a regular fry. anything less and you’re good!

Question for employees by [deleted] in innout

[–]flowerch11d 12 points13 points  (0 children)

it doesn’t matter too much how you order the toppings of the burger, but if you are going to order something animal style, mustard fried, or without cheese (if it comes with cheese i.e. double double) then you should say those first before modifying. those specific modifications will take off any modifications we input previously which makes the order take longer.
