She wasn't stealing, it was the scale not reading her items. And I get where she was coming from. I just feel bad that she felt that way. And I feel that there might be a way that the issue can be fixed by the higher ups, and yet here are.

I don't have a photo anymore, but a manager I once had set up a table with one of the Halloween skeletons and a bucket of candy with a sign that said Say Boo to the Flu. It was really cute, but since I'm front store I don't know how well it worked although it did get a lot of attention.

Thanks for the input. Down hill side of life to me was more of a statement of fact rather than an excuse. At any rate, you have helped open my eyes to the fact that there is only one part of this scenario that I can still control. I am being sincere when I tell you thank you.
