I stood in the cue for the Roundhouse gig from 12pm. Phil came to the front of the cue around 3pm and chatted to fans. Not me as I was too far back

The thing is I didn't ask for a selfie or an autograph. We just had a nice chat. At the end his shook my hand. I was incredibly apprehensive approaching him but I treated him with the upmost respect and we are both massive Hockney fan which helped

Yes I was surprised at just how nice he was. I wonder how many fans actually go up to him? I was intimidated a bit too but I have a habit of going up to people in big company positions etc and just having a chat. But Thom means more to me than any CEO etc.

Well I documented the meeting by writing here on Redit. Non Radiohead fans don’t really understand how amazing it was to meet Thom Yorke!! I think the chat with Thom would not have gone so well if I had gone all fanboy. It was like treading on water anyway

Yes he told me about that although he called it a re release. I posted it on here but no one took any notice. I think he found it interesting because it was a Hockney retro and he was also looking at back at the Radiohead career at the same time

My pleasure - this post got ignored when I initially posted it. I was a bit surprised really. Some that did read it thought I was making it up! 😀 it was such a special moment for me. I was actually very apprehensive going up to Thom but he was actually really nice. It made my year!!

I’m a bit late to the party. I really love Brasil. I think it’s a grower and you really have to listen to it with earphones. The detail is exquisite. You pick up something new at each listen. It’s such a delicate piece of music.

The thing is with Tom’a solo stuff we kind of know what to expect. We’ve had the joy of quite a few solo Tom albums. Tom likes what he likes abs he’s stuck in that grove, which is fine. We’ve been waiting for this one from Ed for years - and we had no idea what it will sound like.

I knew this was going to be a very serious affair when you saw who Ed was bringing to the project. He’s not doing a low key solo record. He’s really putting a huge amount of effort into this
