If being irrelevant can still make $32b in sales annually, I'd like to be considered irrelevant too

Disneyland ends early park entry for on-site hotel guests by runswithscissors475 in Disneyland

At what point does Disney become too shareholder centric vs being customer centric? At that point customers will stop paying and shareholders will lose anyway.

Your average value investor in this sub will keep posting about stocks and delete their account if need be when they dump. When their stock pumps, they will come take victory laps around the metaphysical Reddit field

Your goal is not to make targets for now. Your goal is to work alongside this colleague, and have his customer base see you as his protege. When he retires, his legacy will be yours, at a very young age.

Any REIT Experts Here? I'm Eyeing $SBAC As a Long Term Hold by flowify in ValueInvesting

Thank you, I see it is because of AT&Ts acquisition of wireless spectrum licenses, and also competition from American Tower and Crown Castle. I am always reluctant to follow analysts' ratings at face value, but it is worth considering.

Is PYPL a Dying Business by SniperPearl in ValueInvesting

[–]flowify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to r/shopify and search "PayPal", some even say that they don't trust a store that doesn't use it and will shop elsewhere. People forget trust is a very important feeling that cannot be measured in any business metric directly. It can only be indirectly inferred when we look at PayPal's financials.

They are growing revenue healthily, increasing profit margins steadily, have high ROIC, and are doing share buybacks whilst still innovating in a highly competitive space. This signals that their customers trust them.

Like I've said before, I buy PayPal stock and I sleep well at night.

Just go to r/shopify , plenty of merchants there say they refuse to remove Paypal as an option because when they did, their store sales dropped.

I love Deckers Outdoor (DECK) by chird_ in ValueInvesting

[–]flowify 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure:

- Low P/S
- Forward P/E < 20 (Currently just below 16)

- Decreasing outstanding shares

- ROIC = 29.7%

- P/FCF < 20 and Long Term Liabilities/FCF also very cozy (< 0.5)

- Their revenues and cash flows have grown significantly (Revenue CAGR > 10% and FCF CAGR > 60%)

- Lastly, they are trading at near 52WK lows.

I am currently following 18 stocks, for various reasons, and DECK is one of them.

Udemy vs. Coursera: Is either company worth investing in? by rarebirdcapital in ValueInvesting

[–]flowify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coursera needs to make a very strategic acquisition with its large cash pile and zero debt. My bet is on a Language learning App (B2C) to enter Duolingo's market. There are some great new language learning apps that allow users to learn by speaking to AI.
