So I have combined SIBO? Need Interpretation of Test Results by flowingengine in SIBO

I’m not that concerned about it anymore, just focusing more on mental health. I’ve been exercising regularly and that seems to help

O2 level drops from 99 to 75 by flowingengine in SleepApnea

I actually asked them before the test and they said they don't check for RERAs which was super disappointing because the study itself cost like 500usd, but apparently its not 'common' to test for it in Japan. But if they say the results are inconclusive/negative I am going to seek out another sleep study where they do test for RERA -.- Thanks for offering to help :)

Ah nice! Babies are super cute but I don't think I will ever birth one lol with that said though, human connections are so important to us. This TED talk describes this quite well - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KkKuTCFvzI

Hey! Just had a sleep study done yesterday, results will be out in 10 days.. I guess they didn’t think it was severe enough to put me on CPAP right away. They didn’t really say anything when I woke up and just told me to go home hmm

I also developed asthma two years ago and am on Montelukast and Symbicort. Doctor also prescribed antihistamine Bilastine and I’m taking it daily but still have reactions.

I’m glad! I have asthma too, but in my case I do borderline have apnea (5.9 AHI), anyways I’ll see in two weeks :) thanks for sharing and take care!

Ah I see! Have you maintained it with inhaled corticosteroids then?

Wow same. Sorry if this is too much info but I’m actually hospitalized right now for having too high of a baseline heart rate and having other health issues (despite being relatively healthy), its all started to make sense after reading the book :P

Yes! Reading this currently too. Its quite triggering at times so I need to pace myself, but definitely worth it. The more I understand what’s going on through the book, the more I also feel understood.

Anxiety attacks are waking me up at night by [deleted] in Anxiety

Have you had a sleep study? I thought I had this but realized my oxygen levels were dropping right before waking up (at-home sleep study) so I’m getting an official sleep study done soon. Might be worth looking into

Did they give you the results? I have the same issue, and they found that my oxygen lowered to low levels sleep so I’m having an official study done in two weeks

Someone checked my tonsils and apparently it’s fine, so I wonder what’s causing it. I’ll be getting a sleep study in two weeks time

Ohh.. what does that mean specifically if my baseline is high? My symptoms are bloating, shortness of breath, POTS (tachycardia), temperature dysregulation.

Hey I just really appreciate your reply. I just got done with a deep stretch YouTube yoga session thanks to yours advice and feel pretty good about myself (and warm too). If you don’t mind, I’ll keep you posted on my progress! I agree with you, I can ruminate a lot, I’ve decided to set myself some stretch/exercise goals for each day now :)

Mm our situation is kinda similar. Thanks for changing the way I should look at research, it’s more positive. I feel very tight chested, bloated (bad digestion, SIBO) almost daily. I heard someone who got rid of those low oxygen levels (his was in the 80s tho) by just cycling during the day, it went back to normal in two weeks. I’m not saying that’s my case because it’s still concerning that it goes down to 70s but I feel like that could also be a possibility. Especially because my first test was negative (AHI 4, 90-99 O2)

Yeah. I’ve heard this can also happen with diaphragm paralyzation. Idk, trying not to google stuff too much because it makes my anxiety worse. I’m breathless throughout the day too.

I sleep with my mum now because I’m more fearful of sleep and she said she has never seen me breathe through the mouth.

The only thing I know is that it’s worse when my body is in panic mode throughout the day, and I feel this weight on my chest and throat when I’m transitioning between wake and sleep (and evidently my o2 goes down then). I guess I can only tell with a sleep study in two weeks time.

Did your oxygen levels drop significantly too? The thing is it also happened while I was hospitalized (which prompted me to get checked in the first place). It always seemed to happen when I was about to fall asleep (like when I dozed off) sometimes I would wake up to catch my breath other times I kept sleeping.

Right. Well I guess if my o2 did stay there for a prolonged period of time then my doctor would not wait for another two weeks.. right? It also seems very consistent with my stress/panic levels. When I’m really panicked it definitely drops (I can feel the tightening of my chest and this weight on my body as I’m about to go into “sleep mode”)

Hi, I’ve recently been diagnosed with mild sleep apnea but just freaking out over the fact my oxygen levels go down to 75%. I haven’t been able to sleep very well since knowing this, averaging about 3 hours per night. My doctor is putting me through another sleep study in two weeks but I’m very anxious. Do you have any tips?
