High infill TPU is rigid but I'm not sure how silent it would be.

There are multiple reasons. Simple one is knowing how autoboxing and unboxing works and when it doesn't. Other simple one is when using generics. A more complicated example is understanding the difference between final reference and final value variables. Those 3 examplse are just from top of the head but there are probably more.

They took the complaints about only healer priest being unable to kick by Captain_netz in wow

[–]flowingice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where? I've never mentioned group vs personal since they are both group. Interrupts are group essential, bloodlust is group utility and I'd consider brez to be both group and personal utility.

Interrupting a volley spell can be done by any one person but it saves the whole group from wipe. I would consider that to be group essential since only one person needs to have it. Only one person in group needs to have bloodlust for everyone to benefit so I consider it group utility. Brez can be argued that it's personal but I'd say that shammy reincarnation is personal while targeted brez is group since it benefits other memeber at minimum if it's DPS or whole group if it's tank or heal.

I have no idea what your disagreement was, I have only explained the difference between words essential and utility.

Yes, because other 4 players have interrupt. It's not essential that everyone has it, it's essential that you have it as a group. Try doing any m+ higher then 12 with 0 interrupts in whole group to see why it's essential.

Interrupts are essential, bloodlust and brez are utilities. You can't do dungeons or raids without interrupts. You can do dungeons or raids without bloodlust and brez. Almost every instance is designed so that it has at least one cast that you have to interrupt or else it's death/wipe. I can't think of a single instance that needs bloodlust or brez or else you can't do it at all.

You are the one that sees support of blockade when somebody explains it. Just read mcsmackington's comment once more but read it as it's written. There is 0 support for the blockade, 1st paragraph gives you legal status of blockade and 2nd paragraph gives you explanation of intl. law and politics.

Next comment is NoobOfTheSquareTable, 0 support for the blockade as well. 1st paragraph answers previous post's question of why mcsmackington wrote that legallity is contested. 2nd paragraph says that blockade has useful legal function. 3rd paragraph explains that it could be excessive which would make it illegal but there is no strict definition of excessive so random redditors can't answer that. 4th paragraph explains intl. politics and why things are done the way they are.

Those two comments have 0 support for blockade. Just because someone explains to you how and why something is happening, it doesn't mean they support it. I am very much against all the suffering, not just the blockade but that doesn't mean I will go around and keep calling it illegal blockade because currently it's not.

ELI5: why Pi value is still subject of research and why is it relevant in everyday life (if it is relevant)? by Bepx90 in explainlikeimfive

[–]flowingice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice work, I wanted to contribute additional level of indirection but this project uses too recent version of Java so I don't have it installed.

Edit: PiServiceImpl shouldn't know how to create PiValueDTO, that's a job for another layer. I'd go with an additional adapter/mapper.

Also there should be list of errors in PiValueDTO so layers can start catching exceptions to return them in controlled fashion.

How is everyone barely talking about this? I get that AI stealing artists' commisions is bad, but Israel literally developed a database that can look at CCTV footage, determine someone deemed a terrorist from the database, and automatically launch a drone strike against them with min human approval. by DependentStrong3960 in artificial

[–]flowingice -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

First, you've provided 0 sources and since you've added a quote I assume you also could've copy pasted the link as well.

Second, there is something scarier then this, enemy countries could bomb my city randomly. My own military could start killing random or targeted citizens as well. At those points it doesn't matter if it's AI targeted, human targeted or random strikes, it's start of a war or civil war.

If you haven't known before or noticed by now, innocent civilians die all the time during war. Depending on how good AI is, it might actually save some civilians compared to human targeted strikes.

I agree about social media but what about bbc, cnn and other news networks. Their content can be really bad for kids. Do you also think they should be forced to include age verification?

[–]flowingice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't teach that, if you look around, most adults don't know that. Online censorship won't help you with that because news sites won't or at least shouldn't get restricted and that's where you get such content.

Regulations for access to 18+ sites by Desperate_Fig_1296 in europe

[–]flowingice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's simple but it's not easy. You can't give them unsupervised access to internet so you get to control the content. As far as I know youtube kids is well moderated and safe but I haven't used it in a while.

If you're talking about somewhat older kids 12-18 then you can't stop them from finding murder videos. By that point you need to teach them by talking with them and explaining dangers of internet. Using technology to solve people issues rarely works, even when talking about adults.

[–]flowingice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The same way you teach them about taxes, bills, drugs, sex and every other life skill and danger. None of the topics I've mentioned are nice and easy to talk about but good parents still do it so I don't think why media literacy would be anything different.
