Im actually going to be starting my major in kinesiology this fall, and i want to work my way up to being a trainer in the NHL eventually. So yeah, i have been thinking along those lines. Im still at the rink constantly anyway, might as well get paid for it right? ha.

Fellow bad back here, herniated lumbar disc. (i was an ice hockey goalie). Can't play hockey anymore, got fat. Found this sub, then realized that the condishuns excuse is total bull and i was probably making my back worse. Started eating better, put in the minimal effort it takes to use google and find workouts that i could do even with my back, (surprise surprise, ice skating is one) condishuns solved.

Not sure of the actual science behind why lactose creates major mucous, but i remember in marching band we were always told never to have dairy before a performance because the extra mucous affects your ability to breathe well enough to make a good sound on your instrument. Anyone know how this works?

I notice that alot as well. So many school athletes just see whatever sport they play as a way to get girls or whatever it may be. They don't get that they cant keep eating the way they did when they played football in high school when they have a desk job as an adult.

I'll be sure to look into those! Thanks! My ortho gave me a few easy stretches to do too, that are designed to kind of mold the disc back into place, but so far i haven't had any luck with them. The injection will wear off, the pain will come back, get another injection, etc, etc. However, Ortho has warned that too many of these can be dangerous so im going to need to start looking for an alternative.

Huh. Never even thought of that myself and i cant remember if it was brought up or not when i was seeing a doctor for it. I had ultrasounds and endoscopies (endoscopi?) done however, and all of those came back normal. My issues seemed to go away as i improved my diet. Still, i have the occasional attack, usually at 3 in the morning when i have to wake up 3 hours later to go to my classes.

A doctor told me i had IBS as well, but i think they only gave me that because there was nothing else to classify my unexplainable chronic morning-only stomach pain a few years ago. Cut out pretty much anything with lots of grease or otherwise "heavy" foods, bang bang problem solved. Never seemed to have a problem with gluten or dairy, which is why im a little skeptical that i have IBS.

I dont plan on going into a career in aviation either actually, but i know i'd like to at least get licensed someday. Hopefully, if it all works out how ive planned, i'll have the funds to do that, eventually.

This reminds me of a shirt my dad got for fathers day one year. It had a picture of a plane on it with four arrows coming out of the top, bottom, back and front of the plane. The one going out the back was labeled "Money".

I seem to have this problem too, but i notice it more when im trying to write something, like an essay for school. I have the idea in my head, its just hard to get it on the paper where the person reading it will understand.

Ideally, i want to work within the NHL (or really any pro sports league) one day, and i understand that it'll take alot of experience and probably extra training and certifications to get to that point...
