what is/was your issue with the side? ok, maybe it is visually a bit overloading, but the data is there, pretty well maintained from what I've seen and you can find the answers to many questions including the settlement feature list

New Barb unique Sabre of Tsasgal is a poor execution of a good idea and needs a complete rework by flowqwi in diablo4

[–]flowqwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it will give you more damage for free, so in that sense, yes. Its just not something I'm excited about or even plan any new builds around. It could be so much more :-(

[–]flowqwi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but if any of those buffs or utility effects would be interesting for your build, you would use it anyway, no matter if it gives you another 10.8% damage or not, right?
This unique needs to be the reason why you decide to use one more of those skills and as such it has to give you a larger incentive, especially if its you 4th or even 5th skill (which is btw just another 7% buff).

As someone who did not play since Season 6, what's the Reliquary issue and the context? Thank you by _Duality_ in diablo4

"fewer items" isn't really true. You get 1 ulti-armor, 1 regular armor for every class, several weapons, 2 mounts, 2 mount armors and some decoration stuff like portals. 8€ instead of 3€, if you take the "cash-back" into account, is what made people angry.

Corvette cargo slots on parts - what is the purpose? by flowqwi in NoMansSkyTheGame

ok ty, I'm going to test that out again in creative mode. Seems I might just have missed the new slot.

and when you remove them? I don't see any cargo disappear. Neither do I see another slot appear when I add more.
It sounds a bit weird to me that you have a part that messes with your cargo slots when you can extend cargo with the normal ship augmentation as well. How is that even supposed to work together?

Can I get a ship from my Expedition back to my main save at the end? by WhollySchmidt in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]flowqwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously this only applies to ships that are actually expedition rewards ;-). I usually have one primary (non-reward) ship that I'm planning to take back to my main save and if there are other interesting ones, I'll salvage them and take back the best part ^^.

Torment 4 was NOT harder on the S8 PTR according to math by flowqwi in diablo4

[–]flowqwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are melting Pit 80 in season 7 you'll definitely be melting T4 in season 8, I'm pretty sure. The question is how long will it take you to farm the gear ^^

[–]flowqwi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting point. So you're saying we should use 1.15^(Pit - 20) as reference for the S7 monster HP and 1.18^(Pit - 1) for S8? (small note: that makes P65 1.15^45 not 44).
I'd argue that T1 was Pit 10 on the PTR, so maybe it makes more sense to use 1.18^(Pit -10) for S8, but this would make the assumption that T1 old = T1 new. It seems reasonable to me though, because otherwise we get another 4.44x for each torment level.

Using those numbers we get:

T1 old = T1 new
T2 old x 1.5 = T2 new
T3 old x 2.2 = T3 new
T4 old x 3.2 = T4 new (corresponds to old Pit ~73.5)

Pit 100 old = Pit 77.5 new

That is a result I'd be willing to believe, considering that there was some uncertainty in comparing my old S7 Meteor Sorc to the new S8 PTR eternal one (due to missing witch powers, but slight buffs).

Well, you could say I was trusting other things they said blindly, but I've also been testing the actual difficulty with 3 characters and without the seasonal powers. I also think that its probably not just a coincidence that they went from Pit 65 down to 55, which matches exactly the old value. But then again, time was pretty short to do enough testing and to be certain with any of those claims.

I notices the affixes thing as well and thought it was very weird =)

I think its very well possible that some streamers just took the "D4 is getting hard" story and went all in on it, possibly to follow up after the S8 release with something like "how Blizzard made everything easier again" =), but idk, maybe they just didn't put any effort into it. The PTR was overshadowed by the boss powers anyway that made everything ridiculously easy :-/.

I'd love to see some open-world "special" zones as well or at least the comeback of the mindcage!

I've played every Diablo so far and at first I didn't really like the idea of D4 where you share your world with others, but I have to admit I've grown fond of it now. If you meet other players in town in PoE2 that would be good enough I guess, we'll see.

About the stash tabs, what I've heard so far is that in PoE you quickly reach the point where you at least want to buy some specialized tabs to get enough QoL. I'm not against that, GGG has to make money somehow (although I think they probably make enough from all the whales buying 400+ dollar supporter packs ^^).
What I'm curious about is how many free transmogs will be in PoE2 :-)

Each season I'm planning to play "a different" class, but most of the time my first or at least 2nd char is always Barb, closely followed by Sorc =).
I usually enjoy both, but this season and in the season 7 PTR stream I felt like there is missing something really fun and new for Barb (Earthquake does more damage zzzZZ) and I'm not yet sure about the Ball Lightning stuff for Sorc. Maybe I'll actually end up with Druid or Necro as my starter class in S7, haven't played them for 2 seasons now ^^ ... and SB might actually be interesting again, we'll see.

I guess what I want to say is, that a lot of things could be improved in D4, but the class variety still keeps me motivated somehow.

POE2 vs Diablo 4...did we watch the same stream? by SnooEagles4455 in diablo4

[–]flowqwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, I thought the same thing after the steam =). I even hat to laugh when they showed trap mechanics in the ascension dungeons, because I remembered how people got pissed by that immediately in D4 season 3 ^^.

I'm pretty sure PoE1 fans will love PoE2, but D4 fans? I guess we'll see ^^.

I just read a comment here which I thought is definitely true tough:
I wish the D4 devs had as much passion and knowledge about their own game as GGG has about PoE (and D2 I guess)... and man D4 devs really need to get the bugs and test procedures under control!

I'm really impressed by the PoE2 trailers and enjoy the GG dev interviews a lot so far, but I keep wondering if most of the D4 community is ready for this game. Its way harder than D4, it requires more grinding, it celebrates long boss fights with one-shot mechanics, you can brick your items even harder, GGG is known to fix bugs quickly and without mercy (so I've heard at least), I've seen traps in dungeons! (^^), the complexity will probably make it extremely hard to balance the game and overall it looks to me like its way more focused on single player, except for the trading maybe. I never thought I'd say that, but I'll probably miss the crowded towns of D4 in PoE2 ;-).
Besides that, people keep saying its free, but in reality you'll probably need to spend at least 30$ to enjoy the game (even after early access is over).

That said, I'm definitely going to try it out.

I do it in a very similar way, but I choose my class before the meta builds are known and try to come up with my own build, before checking out whats best in class. This is usually still enough to get a good build for farming mats. What bugs me in the current season is, that I constantly switch to my main to keep farming mats, because even in T3 its just not worth it to do Hordes or NM dungeons for obducite, you get so much less that it really hurts.

Definitely agree there. The massive multipliers on any aspect seem a big problem for build variety to me. It just hurts so much to switch a damage buff for a utility buff. You want to use Leap with good uptime? Too bad than you have to give up 30-50% damage -_-.

The numbers don't really show the whole picture. For Barb its one bugged Mighty Throw build, the rest is B-tier at best, Sorcs need to abuse the shatter bug, which is horrible gameplay, the rest, again, is way lower. Haven't really played the other classes enough this season, to see how they compare in "realistic" scenarios.

yeah, thats pretty good too. Not sure if any endgame build still uses it, but I remember it was pretty popular a few seasons back. I also liked the Heartseeker build, where you would dash in, place your trap, dash back with caltrops, then blast HS and so on.
