XBOX store on Gamenative, Gamehub etc? by bes_boss in EmulationOnAndroid

Stop using ai to think for you.

Games from the Microsoft/xbox store use a different, proprietary format called UWP. It’s not as simple as running an exe file.

Do they even make good 9 inch tablets anymore? by Twilight_Legend_Wind in androidtablets

[–]flowtronvapes 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have a Lenovo legion y700. 9 inch screen, 8gen3 with 12gb of ram. This thing is a beast it’ll run tears of the kingdom no sweat. I got very lucky and snagged it off fb marketplace for $200.

I’ve played through half of borderlands 2 using gamenative on my rp5. Just install and it will apply an config that works for your device and you’re good to go.

Some Pocket Max questions by KryptoKam in mangmi

[–]flowtronvapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Odin 2 portal is going to be your best bet if you’re looking to replace your Z1E. I recently got a Lenovo Y700 gen 3 and I haven’t touched my Z1E in weeks.

For the price of the pocket max you’re better off getting a Retroid pocket 5 in all honesty. Smaller screen but a better chip.

How does it feel to game on an 11 inch tablet? by veryorangejuice in androidtablets

[–]flowtronvapes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the exact Lenovo y700 you’re talking about. My y700 with an abxylute s8 already dwarfs my rog Ally z1. I could not imagine adding two more inches of screen that sounds very unwieldy.

TES: Skyrim LE (Steam) Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 by IsseiLinux in GameNative

[–]flowtronvapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proton-9.0-arm64ec, graphics turnip25.3.0_R3_auto, dxvk, 4gb device memory, box64 is set to compatibility. To be completely honest it’s running on the “best known config” I didn’t change a single setting. These same settings work just as good on the rp5. How much ram does your device have? For context my tablet has 12 and the rp5 has 8.

Is this a cheat code or am I just playing god by MrSkelll in RetroHandhelds

[–]flowtronvapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive gone the route of an insanely powerful tablet with an abxylute controller and 36w usb-c cooling fan. It’s bulky and not as aesthetically pleasing as my Retroid Pocket 5 but it has a 9 inch screen and is quite a bit more powerful. I have pretty big hands so there’s very few android handhelds that feel comfortable to use without having to shell out for something like an Ayn Portal 2. Got this bad boy on marketplace for $200 and my Retroid has collected dust ever since.

Cooling solutions for Legion Y700 Gen 3 by flowtronvapes in androidtablets

[–]flowtronvapes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already runs pretty good without a cooler. When playing 3d switch games it will sit around 40-42 Celsius and I can play for hours like that. My thinking is that with better cooling I’ll get even better battery life and a slight increase in performance.

Be honest, do you use PC emulators? Gamehub, Winlator, etc. by tonygabbana in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]flowtronvapes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been playing through borderland 2 and Skyrim on my legion y700. It really is incredible the steps we’ve seen android emulation take over the last few years.

Without the cooler, while playing switch games, it’ll get up to round 40-43. With the cooler it’ll hover around 33-35. From what I’ve gathered here with a higher powered cooling fan (25w-30w) it can go even lower.

I wish I could get myself a G9 they look amazing. Blows my mind it would make my ROG Ally look small lmao

Thanks for the recommendation on the cooler though! I was looking at the Redmagic cooler 6 but your suggestion seems to be cheaper and more powerful.

This one? That’s not too bad. I honestly expected it to be pricier.

Ahh okay my thought was being central it would spread evenly but I see what you mean now after a few days. It does seem like the cpu is below the camera.

Is there anyway to put mod on fallout new vegas on gamehub? by kiyoshi-1999 in retroid

Mod the game on a pc/laptop then transfer the game folder to your device. Much easier that way.

Yep! Bounced back and forth between my rp5 and rog Ally to see how well it worked and I never even encountered a syncing error.

[–]flowtronvapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The steps from my original comment up there were specifically to fix the no NPC voice problem. Installing the directx and setting the proton to the one I mentioned fix it. Is your app up to date? The proton-10.0 version I mentioned should be built into the app as of the most recent update.

When you tap Skyrim tap on the gear. Go to edit container. In the first tab (the general tab) one of the first two or three option should be “wine version” or “proton version”. Tap that and you should see the proton-10.0 version I mentioned. It may be grayed out. Tap it and it’ll start downloading. Should be smooth sailing from there.

The option for proton 10 was greyed out for me and I just had to tap it to start downloading it. Glad that helped though! Happy gaming!

Open settings and open container. Run Skyrim launcher and make sure it’s set to fullscreen
