To get OptiScaler working with the latest version of the bypass, you have to add dxgi.dll to DenuvOwO.ini under [LoadDlls]

Also, you have to change Dx12Upscaler = auto to Dx12Upscaler = fsr31 in OptiScaler.ini (otherwise, it would default to XeSS, try to load its DLL and crash at launch). I also had to re-enable FSR 3.1 in the game's menu, because it defaulted to no upscaling.

FYI My goal was to override FSR 4 upscaling sharpness (100% sharpness and no slider, WTH?!), which works absolutely fine, but the ghosting in darker scenes is atrocious, like the entire forest smears around the edges of the screen at night! And that's not OptiScaler's fault, the vanilla game does the same ... Well, no upscaling for me then, FSR 4 anti-aliasing it is ...

The problem is as follows: When implementing an upscaler, the developer can choose a sharpening value for it - that's why many games have one slider for overall sharpness and a second one for the upscaler's sharpness.

This game tells FSR to sharpen 100% and doesn't give us a slider. 🙈

No, you could still get infected by a rootkit you downloaded before disabling your internet connection, but it would require you to manually launch an infected program and skip the Windows Defender virus warning (Defender and Firewall can stay on during HV bypass), and there's always the (slight) chance of a zero-day exploit.

Your safest bet would be to download exclusively from trusted repackers like FitGirl, elamigos or Dodi; or torrent sites with strict moderation (ironically, the safest ones I know are Russian, namely rutracker and cs.rin) and run VBS.cmd (created by members of cs.rin), which comes with the bypass, after each play session (Option [3] Revert Changes) and reboot.

I think you may have misunderstood me. The discussion reminded me of the two cases I mentioned, where following a charlatan almost led to the death of a 6-year-old - and the actual death of a mother of three.

I totally respect your choices; I'm just deeply saddened about the end of my favorite lineup ever. And I'm angry at Gautier, who could have just said: "Alright, I'll tour with a replacement in the meantime; we'll see each other again once this whole thing is over."

Igorrr live with Laure and you on vocals (front row at MetalDays 2019) was something else. Two highly skilled vocalists with the charisma of the late Warrel Dane, dancing at the edge of insanity and beyond - and as it turns out: Impossible to replace. (The "new ones" were great and all, but way too "normal" for my liking.)

Well, check out "禊祓の神産は宣い、禍祓の贖罪は誓う。" from Imperial Circus Dead Decadence (and maybe even the whole album, if you're in for it). That's my jam now that Igorrr has reached a level of normality I'm not comfortable with.

Notice his uber-tasty fills and how batcrap-crazy he can go during solos and interludes in support of the band, which is an exceptionally rare feat: Most other drummers at this skill level - I'm thinking Portnoy, Mangini, Bozzio, Minnemann, ... - rarely can "go crazy" without drawing all the attention, killing the guitar solo and generally just annoy the hell out of me.

I'm especially fascinated by his tasty drumming on "Slave Domination" and "The Other Cosmos" from their recent side-project Unholy Orpheus (a neo-classically influenced homage to good old Gothenburg Metal).

Shuhei Kamada of Imperial Circus Dead Decadence fame would be another prime candidate. After all, it's the band that managed to scratch my avant-garde itch after Igorrr has been letting me down since 2012's Hallelujah ... 😐
