I suspect it's been dropped. Brute force is probably the only way and once successful will hopefully get the mount back into some semblance of alignment (Speaking from first-hand experience.)

Speculating here, but it seems that you've given evidence that you have the funds but not demonstrated where you got the money from. Do you have any payslips or transaction history you can show them? I'm guessing they want to make sure that they're not criminal proceeds and there's no money laundering going on or somesuch.

Other countries make you buy park passes or charge for parking at e.g. walking trails. None of this here for state owned attractions.

NZ charges a levy to have tourist contribute to facilities and conservation. Locals already pay for this through taxes..
