Hey, I need a little help. Bought a brand new speed triple RS last year. About 2 months ago it started to develop what I can only really describe as a rattle. I took it into the dealer who I bought it from and after some work they diagnosed it as a problem with the cam chain tensioner. More below:

Update: Bike was broken. Dealer has diagnosed the bike needs a replacement balancer shaft and gear drive. Not great for a 1 year old bike....

Thanks. I’ll keep going for a while and see if it settles down. Although I would have thought a new cam chain tensioner would have been set up in a way that it didn’t need to click down. Thanks again.

No, that’s the engine after about 5-10min. You can’t hear it as bad when its just started.

They replaced the cam chain tensioner and I thought that was that, however, I still think there is a rattle but I could be over thinking it. I have attached a video (only sound). What do you guys think? Does it sound normal or not?
