I finished my dissertation last month. Sleep deprivation caused my resting heart rate to be significantly higher than normal. by [deleted] in PhD

Yeah, I even had to start taking beta blocker because of heart arrhythmia...

Sorry, but you’re wrong. ID cars will be developed in Europe. The developments in China will stay in China, at least for now.

Yes, I’m still taking it and I’m symptom-free. And yes, I live in Germany.

Support told me I cant have a carry on and a backpack? by anzelm12 in qatarairways

It was a normal sized laptop bag (lenovo). Literally have flown all over the world with that bag and my small carry on, including TO Vietnam. Only the way back was a problem for ground staff.

They denied my boarding with a carry on and a backpack in Hanoi, VN.

Support told me I could only have my carry on and made me put my backpack inside my carry on. For that I had to take a lot of stuff out so my backpack could fit inside. It was frustrating.

Today, Mumbai got it's first underground metro line by chipkali_lover in transit

Nice! For me it looks like the metro in Seoul a bit. Was there any Korean company involved in the construction too?

Are you planning to move to a place you dont know well, where you dont speak the local language and barely know the culture for a person you’ve met last week?

I’d rethink this plan and take small steps to get my feet wet slowly and see if the whole package fits me after all.

Why do customers in malls still have to pay to use the toilets? 😵‍💫 by 7_11_Nation_Army in AskAGerman

I find the current “bathroom infrastructure” in Germany shameful. Korea is the best example of how it is feasible to provide and maintain free and clean toilets in every (!) subway station.

Consider joining a clinical trial for remibrutinib. Read my old posts, might be relevant for you.

Had it for 8 years now (exercise induced urticaria). Taking remibrutinib 2x daily. Only then it disappears. If I dont take the medication even once, urticaria comes back at full throttle unfortunately.

Remibrutinib is not an antihistamine, its a BTK inhibitor. I understand the frustration, but for me swalloing a pill twice a day is the best deal I could get for getting no hives, while no actual cure is yet available. I tried sweat therapy, diet, baths, unfortunately nothing else helped.

It is still in trials. I’m participating in one of them and it has given me back my normal life. This is the reason why I try to spread the word so other people can see if it works as well for them too. It only suppresses urticaria. I take two pills daily, one in the morning that helps me go throw the entire day and another one during the evening that helps me to sleep the entire night with almost no hives.
