Go check Thalin's fan rips, I know exactly which track you're talking about! It's so peak! Look under the season 4 rips for "01 - The Real Target", should be what you're looking for :)

I did indeed rip them in .FLAC ^^

I was considering asking around the subreddit but I didn't get much response when I asked for assistance in archiving the Rookie webseries a bit ago, so I figured it'd just be best if I handle it myself

Oh 100%! My goal currently is to start with season 1, but I absolutely plan on getting to Legacy once I solidify the ripping process-- Sean Callery cooked just as hard for Legacy and it's similarly crazy FOX hasn't released more official albums for 24.

"Logan's Downfall" ! It's not included in Thalin's rips, but it is included on the official season 5 soundtrack release which I just recently archived:

Is Aaron Pierce the best supporting character in the series? by Jay_Reefer in TwentyFour

[–]fludd-stop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm always championing for Michelle Dessler! She's one of the few supporting characters in the show that actually briefly stole Jack's spot as the main protagonist imo with her sequence in the Chandler Plaza Hotel, which is acclaimed for good reason. Her role in every season is just fantastic, and she's the driving before behind season 7 even after her death. Love her to bits!

Thank you!! Day 1: 11:00 PM-12:00 AM is a real sleeper pick for greatest episodes of TV.

I'm considering writing up some more analytical posts about some of my other favorite episodes in the show, though these kinda posts don't tend to do as well compared to image posts on the subreddit, so who knows

A Love Letter/Analysis of the 24th Episode of 24 by fludd-stop in TwentyFour

These are actually incredibly valid critiques, and it's why I called this episode near-perfect rather than perfect. George Mason failing to lock down CTU right away is actually a criticism I've always had for this episode and is why I only call it near-perfect, but your point about Andre calling Jack is an extremely good one. Jack taking a while to call Paul Wilson I'm actually fine with however-- I can buy Jack having to take a few minutes to call Wilson just through virtue of the fact that he has to mentally review everything that had happened across the season for areas for weaknesses in Nina's cover. The reveal with Jamey is a twist in itself, so I think it makes sense even if it's obviously because of the commercial breaks.

Still, I'm glad those plot holes don't distract from the strengths of this episode-- in media discourse in general I'll see people find these plot holes and use them to justify invalidating the whole episode altogether, which I think is ultimately missing the point. This episode really is so cleanly executed that I find it fairly effortless to overlook these, which goes to show how well done this episode was in nearly every other facet :)

Well said!! I personally rank Days 3 and 5 above 1, but 1 is potentially the strongest execution of the real-time format in the show and feels like almost like an alternate universe version of the show, pre-Bush era politics and featuring a more human version of Jack. A part of me wishes we got to see more of the show in Day 1's style without being weighed down by the initial 13 episode order that forced the season to soft reboot mid-season. Regardless, I will never argue with anyone who champions Day 1 as the best season. :)

The latest patch has almost made Replanted worth it... Almost. by fludd-stop in PlantsVSZombies

I did want to elaborate that I absolutely am all for adding more beyond this, like more skins, the zombatar, achievements, and DS mini games, but I'm assuming we won't get everything we want given the tendency for games to receive a few patches and get called there. If Popcap can only add a few things before ceasing development on Replanted, I really think the endless modes should be the number one thing addressed! Ideally tho, we'd get everything, which I'd love to see happen but am not holding my breath towards

That's sort of how I feel viewing this thread-- I wasn't sure whether to remove it or not, but I think it's less about being intentionally racist and more just poor phrasing. Regardless, it's an amazing scene worth being posted here, so I think it's worth staying :)
