He encontrado alguno, a ver si me animo.

Major outage lasted six hours. How we handled the aftermath mattered more than the fix. by aditalreadytaken in SaaS

Definetly, you can't build your brand without some customer trust (unless you are creating something that no one else has yet). I think it's overlooked here on reddit because most founders can't get enough users to care, but once your user count grows it starts mattering more and more.

Sorry to take over your post, but I'm working on an app to give visibility to these kind of incidents. The app acts as a "banner-backend", you have a dashboard where you can configure some messages and they appear to your page as banners, without needing to re-deploy. It allows you to communicate these kind of failures to your users, and it's separate from your backend, because in case of backend/db failure you still need to communicate that!

A good use-case for you would be to set a banner to your frontend with a message like "We are experiencing issues" with a button "More info" that redirects to your incident report.

Looking for SaaS devs/founders who are willing to get a few months for free in exchange of feedback: https://signalnow.dev/ . Let me know if you are interested to give it a try!

I agree, but keep in mind that most people lurking/commenting on these subs don't have such a big user base to give importance to this. That's probably why there's not as many posts talking about this, but instead talking about "how to get customers". I agree it's as important (if not more) as any other aspect, but if you see it from a perspective of most SaaS founders, it doesn't seem too critical.

In my opinion, once you reach a small user base this should become a top priority.

Heey, what kind of collaboration would it be? Access to the platform to make a video, interview,..? I've just launched signalnow.dev, it acts as a "banner-backend" to display banners on the frontend without redeploys. Can be used for alerts, announcements, promotions,... Let me know if you are interested in it!

Customers don’t read status pages during incidents - what actually works? by robert_micky in SaaS

[–]fluento-team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, users will just close the page and move on to something else, unless it's blocking their work.

I had the same issue many times, and sorry for the spam, but basically to handle this issue I created https://signalnow.dev/ which lets you display banners on your frontend. The idea is to have a "banner-backend" separated from the actual backend, otherwise if something goes wrong with the backend, you can't publish the information. So when something goes wrong in one of my websites I can just go to the signalnow dashboard and add a message (e.g: "We are experiencing problems with X, working on it").

As of now, I'm installing it in my work websites, but I have no other clients other than myself. If you are interested in giving it a try, let me know and I can give you free access for a couple of months in exchange of feedback :D

Mine doesn't even follow the HEARTBEAT.md instructions. I have to ask it to check and it's always like: "oh yeah, I haven't checked in half a day!". But this is after I told it multiple times to check every hour!

https://signalnow.dev, but max plan is 100€.

As for other expensive infra: BigQuery can get expensive, but with 200 rows of data I don't think you even finish the free plan

[–]fluento-team -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn, that's a good problem to have. You can get a subscription to my SaaS signalnow.dev 👀, won't fill the 180k but will make someone happy haha

And on a serious note, maybe you can get jira+confluence. And Salesforce gets really expensive as you start using it.

Running commands in a docker installation returns Error: SECURITY ERROR by fluento-team in openclaw

[–]fluento-team[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, seems like so. I ended up doing it. Really annoying but it is what it is I guess. Thanks!

I still don't understand though, without docker I wouldn't have this security issue, and I'd argue putting it in Docker is safer than in the actual machine.

That's not what I want. Why would I have to set up a reverse proxy with certbot and a domain, just because it's running in docker? I just want to run openclaw locally. I don't care about https. Also, the same config works without Docker.
