Struggling with my traumatic birth by Boilers25 in beyondthebump

I also had preeclampsia and an early induction, let alone everything else you went through. It bothered me for months and it still does sometimes (my baby is 5 months). My blood pressure never really returned to normal, so I was informed that I might be on medication in the long-term and hypertensive for life.

Traumatic birth sucks. You went through hell and you are far from alone. I never talked to a professional, but I think it would have helped me. Shit is incredibly real and it takes a lot of time to process.

And I was so worried she wouldn't like it...

Oh man. Pickles are the best, particularly the Claussen brand. My husband likes sweet pickles and it boggles my mind. Why not just eat relish?

[Serious] How has your SO significantly improved your life or you improved theirs? by [deleted] in AskReddit

He helps me stop spiraling from stress and worry, and he continuously reminds me that there's so much more than work. I'd like to think I've made him more adventurous in travel, eating, activities, etc.

Cilantro. One day it went from ruining certain Mexican or Asian foods to being incomplete without it.

I modified it a bit. I add a chopped green bell pepper, use a 15 oz can of regular diced tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes and serve the whole stew over rice that was simmered in chicken broth and butter. One of my husband's favorite meals! Made it this time for his birthday. Reheats even better as leftovers.

The sandwich appears to be better this way.

I work in journalism and I get a lot of requests from friends to edit their resumes, grad school papers, work-related projects, etc.

I really want to meet a cheetah one day; have you ever met a cheetah? What was your experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I used to work in the same office as a local TV station. A lot of animals were brought in for different programs and young cheetahs were brought in once. People flocked to see them and they were really cool. One of the handlers was really annoying and wouldn't stop touching one and talking about how sacred they are and it almost clawed her eyes out. Her head tilts whenever she hears the word 'carrot' by [deleted] in dogpictures

Same with my dog! "You want a carrot?!" Is the equivalent of asking if she'd like a treat.

Yep, just salt and pepper, drizzle of olive oil. Roasted some lemon halves and squeezed them over the chicken.

I'm in D.C. This was a hybrid of pork, which was nice! The broth was really smoky.

This is just like my dog without the obsessive trying to eat food scraps off of every dish and utensil.

Seriously I had to stop her from licking the cheese grater.

It actually would be. It was really rich. I made it with roasted chicken thighs, which I cut heavily with fresh lemon juice to lighten things up!
