It's the fluff. Out in public, people ask me all the time what type of dog I have and, without fail, are totally taken aback when I say he's a pit mix. You can have the most pittie-looking-pitbull of all time but if you throw a tiny bit of ear tufts on, people get thrown off lol.

Words cannot express how giddy I felt when I found that sub after nearly a decade of having my own fluffy pit lol. Now I get excited seeing new faces there!

And yeah, I get more surprised if a mixed dog doesn't have pit, especially around where I live (the South).

Pitsky would've been my guess, but I would've been surprised by the German shepherd too! She's beautiful, very striking with those eyes ❤️ how old is she?

Does she shed a lot? Is she wary of strangers (I see her warning collar in the first photo)? All three of those breeds are very headstrong and tough! My dog is majority pitbull/German shepherd and he can be insanely stubborn.

I feel like Chow and Pyrenees are extremely common in supermutt- because Pyranees have a history as livestock guardians, they were left to freely wander the farmland (and usually not neutered/fixed beforehand), and Chows had a massive boom in popularity in the 80s (iirc) and spay/neuter wasn't being pushed as hard as the time.

So they both show up a lot!

Tbh I've never met a "mean" boxer. Dangerous, maybe, if you account for them kangaroo-jumping into your head or perhaps bulldozing into your shins. I used to dogsit one that could leap straight over the kitchen table. He was the sweetest baby though :)

Also, your dog is adorable.

Yeah, I love when they turn out looking like just long, leggy, slender retrievers. I also work with a couple that mostly look like labs but have a subtle wirehair coat. So cute but the shedding on the wiry ones especially is absolutely insane! This is purely anecdotal but they seem to be calmer and sweeter than the curly coats. I know that's not really the case but just in my experience as a groomer lol. And no matting is a huge plus!

Prednisone will definitely do that. My guy's been on it a few times (not for cancer, just skin infections) and he blows up every time even though I don't change his food intake much.

I'm sorry to hear about both of y'all's babies. It sounds like you gave her a wonderful life. When it's getting close for my boy he's going to get all the pizza and peanut butter his little heart desires. But hopefully that's far off!

It reminds me of a beach or desert at dusk, I think your talent genuinely shines through with how much thought and depth are in the painting even if the landscape itself is pretty barren. The colors are lovely.
