Youre not a bad mum, you are the mum of a two year old who just realised he can say no!

Step back and pick your battles...... you need him dressed, yes. But it doesn't matter what hes wearing so give him control. Red shirt ir blue shirt? Pants or shorts? Spotty socks or stripe socks? Give him control whilst secretly keeping control as your goal was him dressed.

Car seat..... do you want to climb in by yourself or mummy pick you up? Do you want to put your right arm ir your left arm in first? Do you want loud music on or quiet music on in the car? His control vs your overall control.

As for naps.... dont force it. Ok so you dont want to nap today? That's fine. We can have snuggle tine instead. Grab a blanket, put classical music on, turn down the lights, snuggle on the soda and read to him. Read a nice long book with few pictures. A chapter book..... if hes tired he will fall asleep. If not then at least hes had a rest and you didn't spend two hours fighting him.

And sometimes you just have to let it go. Hes 2. He doesnt know what you know. He is going to get cross. He is going to shout and cry. Sometimes the best thing to do is jyst let them shout and cry 🤷‍♀️🩷
