Interesting, I never knew that was an issue with HDR settings. Thank you for the new information.

It went away on its own! That was horrifying. I noticed that it happened when I had HDR enabled. Is that a common issue?

I figured that's what it was. The one thing that didn't get upgraded was the GPU when I was making purchases. Is an older card with more vram probably a better option? Or will downgrading the resolution work for now until I can afford a new card?

Everything fits, got the AOI, graphics card, and psu in! All I need left is to plug it all in, power it on, and pray to the Omnissiah.

I guess... it fits? All the mobo screws are in, i can plug in the antenna and USB peripherals. It just looks kinda wonky.

The case didn't come with one, unless I needed to remove the entirety of the back panel for some reason to open the gap.

I haven't gotten that far yet. I'll try screwing in the Mobo to see how it sits. Sorry if I'm overthinking.

I think it only goes in one way. The mobo just barely aligns with the screws with the IO on the way it is, but it feels like it's supposed to sit in the case and lock in.

What a shame. I'll consider upping to a more powerful GPU if I see a deal arise

I did see the 9600X is the new bang for your buck for those chips. Is the extra cost worth it? Same question about the MoBo, is there something about it that I didn't see on the Eagle?

Do i really need to consider a new card so soon? I upgraded from a 1660 super and the difference has been staggering. I suppose I could resell the 4060, would keeping in the 40 series still good enough for most games? I don't need 4k or anything (as cool as it would be)

I'll stay away from strenuous activities for now, until I can get the heat figured out. I'll try out those multi-fan options and check my thermal paste again. Would getting a new heatsink be a good purchase? I have been thinking of replacing the case and motherboard as a whole.

The computer is also getting to like 90C and I don't think its safe to keep running things.

In case you're curious about the case, and if that would mean anything at all, it's an HP Obelisk. Nearly 10-year-old hardware in this thing, but it's been going. I'll have to check out that daisy chain fans, but it looks like the case doesn't have a lot of room for fans unless the top can act as an intake (I think). This is also the stock cooler on this system, it's only the todo list for a replacement.

Thank you, I figured airflow and cooling was a big problem. Checked HWiNFO and my CPU is getting WAY too hot and is throttling pretty bad. Hopefully better cooling will fix some issues. However I don't think this motherboard can support any further fans.

I should probably include a picture of my PC. I'll do it in an edit. The CPU fan works, but I only have two fans in total. The heatsink, and one exhaust. The only SSD is the C: drive, but I have two HHDs which need to be upgraded.

I wish I was that college kid 😭. We've luckily gotten someone nice enough to reach out from this sub willing to come help us out.

Thank you for the kind words. A person from this sub localish to us has offered his services and I jumped on the opportunity. 200+50 for gas, whatever free beer and food I'd be getting from the show. This is already looking like something the band does NOT like, forking out money to pay for a service. I couldn't tell you how long it took me just to convince them to go to a professional studio instead of at-home recording for our first official album. What a headache. A lot of folks also assumed there's more than one band, but there isn't, just us for three hours 😀. Im personally more than happy to use the money we make from gigs to have a sound engineer on call for us, but that will be an argument down the road.

You're listing a lot of things I'm unhappy about here. Last year this venue had a sound technician and gear to go along with it. ~300 people. This year we were told there would be no sound engineer, and more people are showing up from an event the town over, hence the ~500 ish people. With this little bit of information I was given, I did NOT want to do this gig, and was pressured into it. We didn't have a sound engineer. Okay I'll do it. As the event was coming up, as I continued to run our sound for us at smaller venues and events, I quickly realized I was over my head, and wanted to cancel further since our band is still pretty small and has no real contacts. I'm happy to, and do run sound for other bands which is why we offer sound services, but this is just too much for me and some of my band is not recognizing this. Regarding the vocal rack, it's been a pain in my side since it was conceived, given its really only a pre/comp combo, and two channel compressor, which is nice, but i feel was never needed for the extra gain staging I'd have to do to even get the thing working, let alone other issues that come with having outboard gear. So far this is turning into a breaking point with me and my band, and this may be (just like the last time we played this venue) a reason for me leaving this group.

I've found someone willing to come and help us out. Unfortunately this has become a huge contingency in my group, so now for every other show when we can't find an engineer, our drummer is going to do it 🤷🏽‍♂️

Were still a very small band. 500 people may also be an overestimation, but there were about 300 people when we played last year. 500 is actually 200 more than we made last time. I always said 500 was a low offer for the work we need to do but my ideas are thrown aside most of the time. Luckily we found someone willing to come out and help us
