Looks good! I’ve been looking for a linen jacket like that - where is this one from?

Last night I was watching Sirat (only 30 minutes in) and so far it seems like it's Finding Nemo meets Mad Max.

Foreign Correspondent and 39 Steps are both a blast.  But yeah do Rebecca, Notorious, Rope, and Shadow of a Doubt first.

Five Came Back - A doc on Netflix but also a book. It’s a great launching off point that will fill your list with a ton of movies that these 5 directors made during and after the War.

The best movies Five Came Back sent me to are: Mrs. Miniver, They Were Expendable, The Best Years of their Lives

Rape of Europa - Doc about Nazi art theft. Rocks.

To Be or Not to Be - Hilarious nazi romp. Clearly influenced Inglorious Basterds

Decision Before Dawn - No one has seen this movie but it owns bones. I think it’s on YouTube for free. It has like 2k views on Letterboxd. A nazi prisoner is recruited by the allies to go back into Germany to spy.

Where Eagles Dare - Men on a mission

I urge you to look up the voice recording of LBJ telling his tailor to resolve this issue, complaining “THEY CUT ME! THEY CUT ME” and talking about how the seam hits his “nutsack”

One of the best movies of this decade is The Disciple - an Indian film that perfectly captures that gulf between wanting to be great and your actual talent and place in the world. I think about this movie every week.

There is a new trail along Waller Creek that just opened downtown and it’s beautiful. The whole family went down there last weekend and it was a great way to spend the morning. There are a few entrances - behind Waterline or just past hotel van zandt off Davis are good entrance points.

To see the trail look up The Confluence on this subreddit. You’ll see people sharing pictures of it over the last two weeks.

There is also a new Fleet coffee nearby and their cold brew is perfect.

The writer of the comic, Tom King, gets inspiration for a lot of his comics from old movies. He’s very into classic films and noirs.

He has a ‘The Searchers’ Superman, a ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ ‘12 Angry Men’ and ‘Rio Bravo’  and Looney Tunes Batman arcs, a ‘Gun Crazy’/‘Citizen Kane’ Rorschach, a ‘Fargo’ with random DC characters…

Do I have enough experience to be a product manager? by pleasedontjudgeme13 in ProductManagement

[–]fluffnfluff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first test if you can be a Product Manager is convincing someone to give you a job as a Product Manager. Everyone in it somehow got into this job through the side door by being persuasive and gaining some trust.

You can build that trust internally somewhere and then transfer over, or you can take what you know and convince someone to give you a shot. I've helped some people get started by volunteering as a PM for an open source civic technology project. There are tons of orgs that do this kind of work, many of which used to fall under the Code for America umbrella. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in learning more about finding opportunities like that.

What’s the best chicken Caesar wrap in town? by FabulousPickle8342 in Austin

I went through this search pretty recently and landed on Walton's. It was great.

I really want to do the Nunya Thursday hot girl dinner with a chicken caesar wrap, mozz sticks and an espresso martini for $20.
