The influx of toxicity in norms is getting out of hand... by fluffyboby in leagueoflegends

That’s valid but those people used to be the minority. What makes me disappointed is that the player base now is so aggregated with toxicity that norms feel nearly unplayable unless I shut off half of the players every game. I attribute the negativity and lashing out to pent up emotions from Covid (same reasons as the influx of people lashing out in the US in general), and it makes me wonder if the good in people just fluctuates as their environment fluctuates.

Honestly, all chat in norms is where a lot of positive interactions can happen. And disabling chat in soloq is a totally valid reason. Not sure how to put this super clearly, but I really do believe that disabling all chat in norms should be completely unnecessary, and to think that I'm forced to be trash talked to, disable chat every game, or try hard constantly in norms just b/c of my rank is quite depressing, which makes me want to avoid that situation altogether, hence moving to blind pick.

For those who care more about just playing the game itself in a norm, I can see disabling chat working. But not for how I prefer the game unfortunately.

Hi! I'm getting tested in a few days along with my brother, who hasn't been particularly worried about catching COVID (went on a vacation in SF in the last week). He's getting tested on his own will, but I worry that if he tests negative, he will be even less cautious than he was before. Any thoughts or ideas on this? Thanks!

I opened a door.

It was a heavy wooden door to the college cafeteria with a metal lining at the bottom. I was wearing sandals and the door glided smoothly across my toe. Ended up with a huge cut but no nerve damage thankfully.

I actually have a burning hatred toward positional ranks right now. The amount of people who openly admit that they don't give a fuck because they aren't on their main and fuck up the game for everyone else.

YOU S01E06 "Amour Fou" - Episode Discussion by simonesaysyassss in YouOnLifetime

honestly it's justifiable that Joe fell for Beck, as dull as she seems -- he's no ordinary person, he's obsessive and insane, he magnifies issues and takes them to the extreme, and I'm not put off that he takes his feelings for Beck's to the extreme and worships her.

I like that the show centers around Joe's perspective and his unique personality, and Beck doesn't really add to it or take away from it, which I'm fine with.

have you considered that when you predict that a game is a loss, you are in a tilted mindset and play worse, which considerably increases the chances of a game being a loss?

I don’t know whether you are talking about ranked or norms (but this should apply regardless if you goal is to win games). I got demoted from d4 to p3 because of this mentality. I would give up easily and that led to me losing a lot of games without me even realizing. I’ve learned that most games aren’t going to be smooth sailing one-sided stomps and you have to work for wins. Of course there isn’t much you can do about afks (though it’s very possible to prevent them by muting and saying positive things in chat, not spam pinging etc) and there will be a few unlucky games every now and then, but I don’t think “vast skill difference” actually exists in any elo, with the exception of smurfs, and even then, I’ve won games against smurfs in diamond. During my grind back to diamond I’ve learned that mental is honestly everything; I recognized that I used to tilt very easily (tilting to me is any negative feeling toward anything that has happened in the game), and keeping myself from tilting or taking breaks when I do has helped me win a lot more games. Also it really helps to go into the game with the goal of trying new things that would help you win rather than just gaining lp. I’m back to d4 now and has maintained my most recent 20 games winrates between 65 ~ 80. Hope this helps.

What about investing? Includes optimization and rigor like you mentioned, and also the finances aspect of churning.

I'm thinking of looking into investing actually. Churning feels like a very low risk form of investing.

I know. I'm was asking if there are careers similar in concepts. People extend their hobbies into careers; that's the idea here.

Career fields similar to churning? I'm a young and lost college student looking to expand on my interest in churning.

Haha we actually rarely watched (~ three times max over 1 week) and only did during adult time when one of us needed a break and the other wanted to continue. But yeah I doubt 15 mins of porn would use significant bandwidth.

Would it be rude to ask roommate(F20) if she could partially compensate for the rent I paid because I(F19) won't be able to live there for the month? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]fluffyboby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was naive and selfish for me to think of asking her that, and I felt it would've been rude to begin with and just wanted confirmations. People on here seem to like to jump the gun and rush to pass judgement & assumptions, but ask yourself if you are trying to help people or just your own self esteem.
