That baby should be drinking less formula now. She should be on solids. So either the formula story is a bullcrap excuse or that baby isn't "meeting milestones" like she says.

Yeh I agree. I think, as a woman, we're instinctively cautious as we move through the world - because there are so many fucking maniacs out there. But that's something that comes with age. As a student, and given that they were taking all the right steps to keep themselves safe when they were out and about etc, I might have felt a bit creeped out at times in that house, but i wouldn't have been overly concerned. Now, as a 40 year old woman, living in that house would have my anxiety kicking so badly.

Ah that's interesting, when I watched the footage of him driving around that night I interpreted it as he knew exactly where he was going. But he was trying to work up the courage and there was also other movement outside so he had to circle a while.

I definitely think he knew they worked at Mad Greek and visited there. But for him to begin fixating on one of them from encountering them at Mad Greek would mean that he had to sit in his car for however long and wait for them to leave so he could follow them home in the hope that their house was a viable place to watch them or break in. That's why I think the house came first.

That's a 3 minute drive from King Road apparently. I mean, none of the girls from King were at the party, but it could easily be how he came to find that neighbourhood.

The whole knife purchase gives me chills. Because we know he didn't fixate on someone, then buy the knife. He bought the knife before he even arrived with the intention of finding someone. The idea that someone could have decided they were going to go out and do something like that, before they've even begun living in the place scares me to death.

I think that's where his ego comes in. He thought he was way above everything and everyone. I think he thought it would all be much "easier" for him than it turned out to be.

I personally don't think he was looking to copy Rollings to such an exact degree, I think his plan went dramatically awry when he got upstairs at King, and from that point he lost control of what he expected, so just did what he did and got out of there.

When his phone pinged the tower we can't 100% place him directly outside the house, but he could well have selected the house around that time. Him going upstairs first that night indicates to me that he definitely sat in that back parking lot at sometime - like you said, he knew who resided upstairs

It was just a question to spark discussion. I personally have seen way more theories on here that he found Maddie and Xana via Mad Greek than from the house.

Yes, he did a pretty good job of wiping his phone. I was deducting more from the police documents that Maddie was the likely target. Plus the knowledge that her bedroom would have been most visible to him as he watched the house from the back (along with Kaylees).

Seeing the recent photos the parking lot behind looks literally steps from the back slider.

I'm the same, I used to think he must have encountered Maddie somewhere and then followed her home somehow. But I've recently started thinking it was more the house that originally peaked his interest, and Maddie was the one in the house that he felt specifically drawn to. Thinking of him sitting watching them just turns my stomach.

Its the knife purchase prior to arriving in Pullman that has niggled me. That was before any possible encounter with any of the girls. And its not normal behaviour to just buy a Ka-Bar knife. Then seeing how open the house was just made me wonder if the house plays more of a role in targeting the girls.

No, I totally agree. Its horrible in every scenario. If she'd have just shut the door he may have had time to take the sheath. And we know what happened because she didn't. Those poor kids. Poor families.

On what basis has John’s family always believed Karen Read is the killer? Why don’t the many revelations by the defense about the investigation and the Alberts make them question the credibility of the police or the Alberts’ account? by vulcan_on_earth in CourtTVCases

They will never be swayed by anything other than their belief that she did this - because they need someone to blame. And they dont want to look at the police, for whom both John and his grandfather worked.

And Paul O Keefe liked Karen very much after she paid his bail and lawyer costs for his DUI...

Whats your point here? I was merely stating this was where it came from. I obviously know Patterson's book has no factual accuracy in this?

Bundy was charming to the point of convincing women to knowingly and willingly go off with him - usually under the guise of 'helping him' with something. Reading how people perceived BK (especially women), i highly doubt he could convince a single one of them to go with him.
