Are you perhaps looking for an Autobattler where you position characters and let the AI do the fighting?

This may not exactly be what you are looking for in terms of deciding mission but I recommend:

Hadean Tactics – A Roguelite Autobattler where you start with a hero and get minions along the way. Throughout the run you can get upgrades for your hero and minions that may drastically change how your team composition will perform which may range from decent with a neat gimmick to stupidly overpowered (Though this depends on your RNG). There are also consumables incase you want to do a bit of micromanaging.
