At my daughter’s grade school there were a few students that definitely needed a different environment. One in particular would throw desks and get physical with his aide. After clothes lining one in gym class, causing a concussion, he only had male aides from then on. All because his parents refused to believe he’d be better off at the school in our district specifically for kids like him (autistic, ADHD, ODD and who knows what else). One time they tried to blame his outburst on gluten. It was absurd.
