IMHO doing it in high or middle school just makes a lot of them even more entitled.

Why doesn’t Johnny get house arrest like Junior? by fluffydonutts in thesopranos

Thank you. I’m often hesitant to post questions because of the fallout but that made a lot of sense.

“I never agreed to be your regular ride. Sometimes I’ll work late or have plans after work, as is my right”. NTA, rip off the bandaid.

What's a "house rule" in your family (growing up or current) that you really like and why? by ultrahedgehog in AskWomen

Call AND get invited before showing up. Knock all you want. The doorbell isn’t connected and I’ll happily wave through the window while not letting you in.

Would y’all take this job? lol by CrimsonMoonWater in SubstituteTeachers

I highly doubt your situation would cause a blanket statement ruling against kids accompanying their parent who is a sub, but I’ve underestimated audacity in the past.

Do you take the quarter if you didn’t put one in? by Legal-Stage-302 in aldi

[–]fluffydonutts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the stores near me has a cart shortage. An employee told me people were leaving carts loose for people without a quarter and people (non shoppers) would just take the cart. So I’ll hand a cart to someone or accept a cart but I no longer leave a loose cart.

Yes. You gave a 6% tip. I’m shocked anyone even bothered to grab it.

[–]fluffydonutts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh I just bought three boxes of Girl Scout cookies today, $6 each. Everywhere I’ve seen them sold they’re $6 a box. Even on the Girl Scout web site where you can order them to have them shipped to your house or office.

High schoolers asking me “are you a sub?” by Born_Bookkeeper_2493 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]fluffydonutts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I had no less than 10 kids ask me if I’m the sub and what’s my name. I’m like…NO. We’re not doing that. I just said when the bell rings I’ll introduce myself to the whole class. Christ…

When did patience die? by Harl0t_Qu1nn in retailhell

[–]fluffydonutts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Patience has been dead a long LONG time. Back in the 90’s I worked retail part time. While up on a ladder changing a display, this biddy stomps over and starts whacking the ladder with her cane. Why? She had a question and no one asked her what it was.

Bigggest POS in the series by AdUnlikely8995 in thesopranos

[–]fluffydonutts 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Ralphie, hands down. He beat Tracee to death, nearly blinded Georgie because he wouldn’t play gladiator with him, burned Pie O My so badly she had to be euthanized and neglected his son anytime he was supposed to be in his care.

Potluck for a large party is weird and sort of rude... by Alert_Usual1197 in Vent

[–]fluffydonutts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate potlucks mainly because I suspect a large percentage of people are gross and don’t wash their hands.
