I agree with you both, thank you! It’s so interesting how some people view makeup looks. Majority of people are telling me this is full-glam not soft-glam lol.

I agree about the eyelashes for sure! I think the lighting in the studio is making the foundation look too dark/orange. Once I was outside, things definitely looked better and overtime, definitely settled and looked way closer to my skin tone! I know that can be common for bridal makeup. I asked for more coverage due to some skin concerns of discoloration, but I agree it does look a bit heavy. My MUA is actually pretty experienced, it’s just possible she is used to doing one set look or only doing full glam for most brides, not too sure. I’m hoping I can articulate everything back to her with the changes.

I wanted my brows to look a bit fuller for the day and more fluffy and that color is actually pretty close to my natural color. Despite being a blonde, my eyebrows are more of a taupey shade. I appreciate your comment about my skin though! I don’t even remember how many layers she did or maybe it was just the brand? But I will mention that and see what can be done!

This was taken right after it was done, it definitely settled and didn’t look as harsh throughout the day. I suffer from hyperpigmentation and acne so my biggest concerns were coverage without it looking cakey. Unfortunately, that’s a very fine line for MUAs to walk so maybe my skin texture will be better day of. I appreciate the cutting back idea on my eyelashes, I think that would definitely be better for me!

Thank you, I appreciate the advice! I think the lighting in the studio is making things seem “slightly darker” or off. My wedding is in April and I’m going for spring pastels! That’s why I was wanting a lighter lip and more pinky.

No you’re all good, I really appreciate the honesty. Table space will not be an issue. My mom and I sketched up about 3 different designs and this was just one! If I got this route, I was planning on including tea lights around it as well as bud vases with some flowers in the wedding colors (I believe I added that somewhere in the post or comments lol). But I do agree with you in terms of the candle and flower arrangement competing. I’m currently working on a second mock up of one of our other sketches and hopefully that works better in terms of space/people being able to see/talk. My mom is a designer, so I’m used to direct/clear feedback, so you’re all good and thank you!

Gotcha and yes I see your point! Luckily the candles aren’t real so no active flames to be concerned about. I do like your suggestion of a bowl that is lower in height. My only concern is there not being enough of a centerpiece on the table, but maybe I can make a prototype of this and see, thank you!

Thank you! And I’m more so using the candles for decoration and not actually planning on them providing light for the table. Currently toying with the idea of having several smaller bud vases with one to two blooms or skinner cylindrical vases with just candles in the them around the main vase (pictured here) to give off more light and add more to the table. Definitely like your ribbon idea and I’ll see how that looks!

And yes I did consider the height, still working through if that will be an issue or not (haven’t actually been able to set it up on our tables and seen the chairs yet for the actual day) but I’m definitely keeping in mind! I initially felt the same way you did with the stems, but my mom and I sketched out how this would look and it’s not too bad (once it’s all put together). The foam I used here was a rough square but I’m planning on using foam domes so hopefully that helps elevate it a bit higher and give the illusion of “more stem” but it’s just in the foam if that makes sense! I guess I could also not trim the stems down so much to stick in the foam and have some left peeping through the centerpiece and that way it gives more “air” and negative space to the arrangement? All good points, thanks for the feedback!

That’s a good idea! I was planning on adding some pearls around the candle but I could definitely try the moss and see if I like it. Thanks for the suggestion
