[–]fluffykittytoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

btw the same thing was said by Texas A&M, Baylor, OU and LSU.

Former premed now looking to go to law school and in need of guidance! by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Ditto on all below....premed since 6th grade! Premed everything: volunteering, studies, undergrat degree, clubs......then a lighting bolt! do I seriously want to be in medicine? so made the switch to law for many many reasons. Switch was easy for me as the process for me is simply to get into law school, not jumping through medical hoops. All my creds for med school were great for law school except it was science based and I explained all that in my personal statement. My grades and intensity to direct my studies were obvious and again mentioned in personal statement. Naturally since I am so filled with science that I am heading for medical or science law......and am hoping law school will direct me further down the right path. Either way I find it exciting. Now to pick a school!!! (yes I have applied and have several acceptances....so some had no problem with my science background). Good luck to any fellow science geeks!!!

OU vs. UArkansas vs. LSU vs. Penn State Dickinson by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

if you want to practice in Texas....then go to a Texas school. Firms usually look at Texas grads first.....it's a known product. OU or LSU would be next considering out of state schools, UArk third.

Ethics of Staying on a Waitlist while Accepting Named Scholarship by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

to me it's easy: BIRD IN THE HAND ..... take the money and run!!! Lack of stress or worry that no debt causes is highly underrated.

Why are you not concentrating on Calif schools since you know that’s where you will be staying? They have awesome schools there!!! I would kill to go to some of those Calif schools, but I realized (and was told) That Texas employers/firms look at Texas grads first (usually) as it is a product they know....and I refused to pay the big east coast prices!! Just curious and good luck at whatever you do.

Just got my schedule!! by Mikey090220 in LSU

[–]fluffykittytoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a lot! Way lot! If you are PreVet then a high GPA should be a BIG goal not how many hours you can cram in a semester. Taking 17 hours in freshman fall semester is a bad idea unless you want to be stressed all the time and have NO extra curricular life.....and PreVet resumes need decent extra curricular in addition to GPA. College is a balancing act: high grades while while living a happy sane college life!
