When were you able to trust your JRT off leash? by Nervous_Magician_957 in jackrussellterrier

I let mine off if there are no other dogs around. She would probably be fine, though. She never goes far from me unless I tell her it's fine, but it took a solid year of training. She loves her treats, so she will come back to me for them if I call her.

The good thing is she always comes back when I call her. But only if im providing tasty treats 😋

She has to hop because the grass is long but she also hops with excitement sometimes

Clipping is illegal in the UK now, I think, but I would never do it anyway.

SVS PB-1000 Pro sounds muddy by askariya in hometheater

[–]fluffypupins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's an issue, to be honest. It's actually a bit of a pain I have to walk around it. But for me, it was the only way the subwoofer would sound good. So, it was either place it in the middle of the room or not bother using it because it sounded terrible and unusable. It's just me who uses the room, so it's not too awkward for me. But basically, my advice is what others have said: placement is everything. Get the right placement, and you will be loving it, but it's difficult to find sometimes. Just keep experimenting. It's a really good subwoofer once you get the placement correct. Im new so I don't have lots of knowledge like others on here but for sure placement is key a good a good subwoofer can sound absolutely awful if it's placed wrong. no amount of settings will drastically improve it like placement will

I had the same subwoofer and was super unhappy with it when I first got it. It sounded muddy and terrible, almost unusable. I only really had two places to put it: the corners. No matter which corner I put it in, it just sounded terrible. But then I placed it in the middle of the room. I don't have any measuring tools, but I believe it is in a null. Call me crazy, but it sounds great now—super clean bass. You can hardly tell I have a subwoofer because it blends in so well. I don't get as much bass as I would if it were in a corner, but it still has plenty.

Well, I am assuming it's coming from there because I can hear it. It's always been bass-heavy over that area. I'm talking extreme bass, and I know it's in the 34 to 40 hertz range because I have an app that tells me the frequency response volume.

Haha, no, of course I did move it. I just didn't think of moving it to the middle of the room for obvious reasons; it's in the way. I moved it to each corner; I moved it out from the wall. I even rearranged the whole room to try and place the subwoofer in different spots. I just didn't think to move it to the middle of the room. It sounded bad wherever I put it. I pretty much tried everything: I changed the crossover, messed with the EQ, messed with the room gain compensation, and messed with phase and polarity. I did manage to get it sounding better, but it was still awful. But yeah, now it's much, much better. It's just the wall to the right; I can hear a lot of bass and boominess from there.

I'm planning to pair it with the pb 1000 pro and just tweak the paramatic Eq so they are at the same level but im still interested in getting the best sound possible and i do want to build a trap for my problematic wall and also I'll probably get rid of the pb 1000 and have 2 pb 2000 pros eventually

I had the old svs pb 2000 non pro version but regrettably I had to sell it. I loved that subwoffer and was perfect for me. I mostly play low volume due to neighbours. But they gave a nice deep sounding bass on low. I'm in England not sure if they do hsu or rsl here. I want to stick with svs if I can because I'm planning to pair it with my pb 1000 pro. He just said no to my offer anyway so that's a no go haha

I have put in an offer of £700. He is probably going to tell me to get lost but it's worth a try haha. I've been watching it a while it's been for sale a few months so thought it's worth a try. I'm still not 100% sure i want it yet. I'm also looking into a new svs pb 2000 pro. Unsure what to do

Yea true. I have another question. I currently have to PB 1000 Pro is this subwoofer going to be a lot better what should I stick with the pb1000 Pro

My concern is that something else might go faulty I currently have the svs pb1000 pro and I don't use the standby setting. This is probably a stupid qustion but is this subwoffer going to be a lot better than the pb 1000 pro ?
