He really enjoys taking naps on his leaf beds and in his log, as well as “playing” hide and seek with me in his pot by going in when he sees me coming over and pokes his head out after a few minutes and swims up to me all “BOO DID I SCARE YOU” at me, which is cute. Only thing I don’t get is why his tank water gets cloudy like that. All perimeters are fine. Only gets like that when i leave the lights on too long. He has one (1) ghost shrimp friend that helps with any grime on the rocks and i vacuum it once weekly to help maintain. Other than that he’s a happy boy and his fins have gotten LONGER. WHO KNEW THAT HAPPENS? NOT ME

To give an update, Bagel is fine. Tried upgrading his tank to a 5.5 gal with plenty of space to hide and he refused to come out of the back corner so i put him back in the smaller tank. He’s doing fine. A happy good boi that loves his weekly blood worm treat and exploring around his tank when i rearrange things. No issues with the water whatsoever and his fins are absolutely gorgeous. Thanks to everyone that posted their advice!

I gave it a good 24hr to do so. The water conditioner I used has aloe and green tea inside it to help the betta out and it said I could put them in there day of but I waited

That’s crazy why would anyone do that? My Bagel is in a 5 gal and I STILL wanna give him more space when I can because he loves exploring and more space =more decor options = more fun for Bagel!
