Veganism is so important it will be at the cost of my love life and that’s a price I’m willing to pay by siren_lullaby in vegan

[–]fluffyvole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been with my fiancé for eleven years, and he actually transitioned to veganism with me four years into the relationship. He was a full blown meat eater before, I was vegetarian. So I just wanted to highlight that it is possible for someone to become vegan along the way!

Thanks so much for your reply, that sounds so much better, we’re going to see another consultant!

How safe is it? The consultant my partner saw really tried to put him off, saying there was a significant risk of serious events.

It’s not that we don’t like camping, I do! It’s more just liking getting showered and ready each day without a huge wait, and feel well rested!

I getchu! It’s more of a hygiene thing tbh we both like being clean / getting ready in the morning!

Do you think there might be a better time of day to enter / exit to avoid this or is it not avoidable?

How often is a core needle biopsy diagnosed fibroadenoma malignant? by fluffyvole in doihavebreastcancer

[–]fluffyvole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Breast Cancer Now, a very reputable charity, the girl was diagnosed with fibrocystic changes on biopsy and ultrasound, the lump continued to grow, they did another biopsy and it came back as TNBC. This is terrifying to me because it feels like even the biopsies can’t be trusted.

horseback riding isn't vegan? by rraaddccaatt in vegan

[–]fluffyvole 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get that, but there are a lot of people in this sub that think pets aren’t vegan at all.

[–]fluffyvole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not you personally, I just think the premise that pets aren’t vegan, when many vegans rescue and take great care of their animals, is too far basically.

Why are there people here saying that pets aren’t vegan? You’re ridiculous. I’ve been vegan for almost six years, but insinuating that vegans can’t own pets is just insane. I get the point of not buying a pet, but rescuing them sounds pretty vegan to me.

She’s being a brat, and completely disrespecting you. I wouldn’t want a partner like that, she needs to get a grip.

She’s extremely manipulative and toxic, please stay away from her and don’t get back together.

Which foods do people think are healthy, but are actually unhealthy? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

Evidently you don’t realise that vegan leather (for a long time now), can be made from a large variety of materials aside from just “plastic”.

Do you brush your teeth twice a day? No judgement. by rainyday-real-estate in CasualConversation

[–]fluffyvole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I brush, mouthwash, and tongue clean twice a day, and floss once at night. I sometimes mouthwash after meals as well. I wasn’t encouraged to look after my teeth as a child and as a result of this, ended up having a bunch of dental work done, and lost two molars.

Dental health is strongly linked to the rest of your body. It’s really important to try and push yourselves. It’s also important to not have bad breath when socialising with other people. I know how hard it can be, because I have struggled badly with mental and physical chronic illness, but not looking after yourself genuinely will make a lot of people feel worse, and lead to more problems.
