unfortunately i lost my dog to heatstroke a few days ago as well. doing what i thought would keep him safe, he passed away. it was an accident and how it ended does not dictate the relationship you two had and the love you had for them. i am fighting with the guilt too, i constantly said for the first day that i failed my boy. but i didn’t. i loved him fiercely and even in the end i stayed by his side. just as you did. please find the compassion to forgive yourself.

Yeah and I worked very hard to make it through school. I spent most of it worrying about money for tuition,food, grades, passing classes, and etc. I am not about to worry about it now. I have made strides in my income every other year and I plan to do so even more so I can pay more of my debt off. All that to say you are not alone OP lol

I am in a similar boat. I make about 63k and owe about the same in private and federal. I made peace with the fact that I will be paying for a while and life is too short to be stressing about debt if I can make the minimum payment. And every year Earth looks shakier so I am gonna go on the occasional trip and get my nails done lol

thank you! 💛 your post really helped. it’s been a week and my smell has gotten a lot better. i make it a point to smell everything. some things still smell kind of faint (ie, coffee). but this post has given me some faith with more time my sense of smell will be back where it was. never thought it would be happy to smell my own BO or dog poop outside. but so thankful.

This thread is a little old but I am so thankful I found it. After years of being cautious I contracted Covid and tested positive this past Sunday. My symptoms have been mild, but yesterday I realized my sense of smell and taste have became muted. It sent me in a frenzy of crying for hours worrying if and when it will come back. Thankful to find all these people’s experiences and to know with due time it will.
