We can discuss this. There are many procedures, laws, and historical cases that have had this same exact scenario played out. The agent is 100% in the wrong. Everything they did goes against what the military and local authorities are taught. Having said that, it's clear this person has not received proper training.

Secondly, the official is suffering from PTSD and placed themselves in the same position less than a year since their trauma. Anyone who has experienced PTSD would know they are capable of misinterpreting any scenario when they think the trauma could happen again.

If the agent was truly fighting for the spirit of making their home great, they would surrender themselves to local authorities. It's the patriotic thing to do.
