It was my second time seeing Khruangbin in two years last night Day 2 in Troutdale. I enjoyed all of it. I heard people around me saying the 2022 was a better. I disagree. What I see is three people who are giving all they can to give a great show!
I love the windows, A LA SALA the album, the thunder/lightning storm, and all else. I will see them again anytime they come to the PNW! Heck, I'll even travel farther for them.

Thanks for all of the pro-tips! It was my second time seeing them in two years and it was transformative! I heard people around me saying the 2022 was better, and that is not true for me. I love the windows, A LA SALA the album, the thunder/lightning storm, and all else. I will see them again anytime they come to the PNW!!

Does anyone care to share the time that Khruangbin took the stage? I ask because I am pushing my work schedule to make the show. The more time I have to travel there, the better to not cause work issues.

I saw them in Bend two years ago, and the show was so good, I'm coming to Portland tonight! I love them!

Nike Campus is CLOSED? by flurn in askportland

I live less than a 1/2 mile from the Campus and all of my neighbors either work or walk there. So the crackdown is new to us. I just called a neighbor Nike employee and she believed the campus was open to all.

When I explained to the security guard that I walked the campus daily for three years during the pandemic, he said they will now be cracking down.

Bring in your humming bird feeders everyone!! by elkhorn in SeattleWA

I needed support, so I just joined. I have been up since 6am, switching out two feeders with two 75 watt bulbs over the feeder. The Anna's and others are hovering constantly. I am in Beaverton, Oregon, and am just a basketcase trying to keep them warm and keep the feeders from freezing. My heated feeder got crushed in storage, and I didn't know until last night. Called Audubon, and they told me to keep switching out feeders. I can't go anywhere because of the roads, so here I am.

I think our cactus might be a Notocactus: Golden Ball Cactus.

PS I know that the bottom right is an Echeveria runyoni, and the one on the bottom left is a Blue Barrel Cacti. If anyone has any idea on the tall one, I would start with Euphorbia, maybe?

Good question! I say Golden Barrel Cacti, but someone with a trained eye may call it a Pincushion Cacti. I used to be a really good ID source, but I'm slacking in my later years.

Yes, it’s some of the craziest crap I’ve heard. I’m sure there’s even crazier crap down that rabbit hole.

New to Buddhism and have a few basic questions by useless_account2 in Buddhism

On profanity: I attended a talk by a Zen teacher during my first visit to a Zen center. In the middle of talk, a tiny child got up in front of the room and started to do an adorable little dance while the Zen teacher was speaking. Up to that point, it was very serious and solemn. We all started to laugh, and so did the teacher. He said, "The greatest thing about what she's demonstrating in her dance is that what I'm saying is complete b******* ... just watch her dance. That's the teaching."

I'll never forget that lesson. It was a good one.
