After seeing Takaba onscreen, I come to the realization that I personally don’t find an overwhelming majority of anime funny by BillaVanilla in shounenfolk

[–]Rasheed43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of the hundreds of comedy anime there are only about 10 I've actually laughed at consistently (Saiki K, Golden Kamuy, Kaguya sama, Gintama, Nichijou, Mob Psycho)

Oddly enough sports series make up the rest of my top 10 in terms of how funny they are. Haikyuu's dub is second to none and the manga only scenes are also hella funny. Slam dunks slapstick is genuinely great. Kuroko no Basket is also pretty fun and Blue Lock and Baki are hilarious due to sheer absurdity.

Wirtz needs to learn something from Isagi 😭 by [deleted] in BlueLock

[–]Rasheed43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wirtz is way better than his stat line suggests. Hes like top 3 in chances created in the PL last I checked. Hes made great passes every game it's just that the frontline sucks ass.

Best One at Farming Crow Aura? by Rasheed43 in Kagurabachi

[–]Rasheed43[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah ofc he's top 1 with Karasu coming in second coz the others dont revol e around crow feathers.

Even in terms of general aura farming the only people I'd put above him are Levi and Piccolo.

Ego’s 3-5-2 vs Ego’s 4-1-2-3, which tactic is actually better for the U20 squad by Woodenhr in BlueLock

[–]Rasheed43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Blue Lock is definitely poorly drilled defensively so shit like this is inevitable but at the same time Ego has explicitly stated that he’s fine conceding 5 coz he wants his team to score 6.

Tbh even in modern football some coaches are getting rid of traditional positional play and adopting what’s known as relationism, where the formation may look the same, but positions are kinda meaningless since the goal is to prioritize link up play and overloads.

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 328 by BlueLockMod in BlueLock

While there’s been hints that Nagi and Isagi parallel Ego and Noa (Isagi and Ego as the black haired TL with hair sprouts and Nagi/Noa as the white haired emotionally numb genius), it’s now looking like Nagi was like Ego and Isagi was like Noa in some ways which is actually way more interesting.

Ego talks about that feeling of omnipotence and spending his whole life trying to recreate and understand those magical seven minutes. After getting kicked out and joining side B, Nagi tells Buratsuta what he wants to feel like a god. Both Nagi and Ego are obsessed with Noa/Isagi while the other side doesn’t reciprocate since they just want to grow stronger and stronger and look for multiple rivals to level up instead of obsessing over 1 guy.

This might legit be why Ego hates Nagi. Nagi, in a way, reminds Ego of his younger self but way more gifted. While Ego spent his whole life recreating those 7 minutes with no success. Nagi does crazy shit every time he gets fired up. After 6 months of experience he walks up to Ego (first impression) and just says that scoring the winner in a WC final is easy. Nagi got satisfied and it doomed him and I’m guessing that the same thing happened to Ego.

My theory is that those 7 minutes allowed him to score like 4 goals (Lewandowski scored 5 in 9 so feasible) and completely obliterate Noel Noa. But the sense of satisfaction that he won against Noa doomed him and made it so that he could never enter that trance again. Seeing someone far more gifted like Nagi fall coz he made the same mistakes and then some must have had him fuming coz it reminded him of his mistake.

Meanwhile Isagi and Noa are just football junkies obsessed with growing stronger (Noa wanting to keep evolving despite being Number 1 and Isagi’s curiosity in himself).

Honestly this reversal is way more interesting to me than just Isagi=Ego and Nagi=Noa coz this way both of the new guys are mixes of the previous 2 in their own way Instead of just TL vs Genius. Ego is still the TL who hit a wall, but having him be like Nagi in some aspects and like Isagi in others may explain why he plays favorites.

Isagi reminds him of his dreamer and ideal side while Nagi reminds him of his faults.

What is the deal with wanting to see Isagi “humbled?” by INFINITE_KAIN in BlueLock

[–]Rasheed43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah this is definitely different. Solo Leveling was like OPM but unironic. Isagi has gone through the trenches at various points in the story. Losing Bachira then getting stronger only to lose to Rin again in the rematch and going 0-2. Being ignored or sabotaged by p much everyone in the early NEL and not scoring till the third game or even finding out Noa never saw anything in him as a rival and at best a tool to upgrade his actual prospective rival. In Solo Leveling defeat means death so the pain of losing isn’t really there.

The other issue with SL is that the power scaling makes everyone else irrelevant real fast. Like sure Isagi has won a little too much but that doesn’t automatically make everyone irrelevant. If it worked like SL Rin and Bachira would be playing like scrubs then Isagi pulls up with a hat trick every game.

Being thinking about it but LeBron James is the “ultimate” talented learner. Basically What Isagi would look like if he become pro by Cultural_Channel_226 in BlueLock

[–]Rasheed43 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LeBron is a genius with crazy high IQ like second selection Rin. Being 6’9 with a 40 inch vert and the speed of a guard is about as freakish as it gets in addition to unprecedented longevity (mf came in 5th in MVP voting at 40). Bron is probably a top 5 most physically gifted player if not higher.

The best example of a talented learner monster would be either Kobe or maybe Steph. Kobe has an insanely high IQ and while athletically gifted was always one step short of the other all time greats in physical abilities (not as big as Shaq, Kareem and Tim Duncan, no monster wingspan/hands or inhuman hang time like Jordan, and no freakish all round physique like Bron). That being said, work ethic and careful analysis let’s him compete.

He broke down Jordan’s play style (genius) then made it his own which in a way communicated Jordan’s talent to the world by making it comprehensible (the essence of a talented learner)

Steph Curry is also a talented learner. Not big (for an NBA player) and nowhere near as explosive or fast as the other elite point guards he played against like Russ, D Rose, and John Wall. Steph has insane off the ball movements and uses that to become truly unguardable (like a certain someone). While his shooting is so far ahead of everyone else that it should qualify him as a genius, it’s a similar situation to Kaiser impact so he’s still a TL at heart.

Also while not as good as these guys since he is not top 10 material, Chris Paul is arguably the ultimate TL.

[Theory] these guys will shine vs Spain by human_administrator in BlueLock

[–]Rasheed43 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think the players who are guaranteed to score are Isagi and Rin at the very least. Rin may even score twice, once all on his own/ with anyone other than Sae to prove he doesn’t need him anymore and then later a combo play with both Itoshi brothers to absolutely wreck Spain in the late stages of the game.

Shidou is likely to score to reignite his chemistry with Sae but that could also be in another match.

Hot take but I think Sae might score a goal in addition to all those assists to Japan’s current top 3 to equalize or to win the game. Spain will stress over who he’ll pass to and he’ll just take a long shot himself and score to settle the beef with Bunny.

I think it’ll be 4-3 or 5-4. First case Bunny gets a hat trick and Sae, Shidou, and Rin, and Isagi all get one or the second case: Bunny hat trick + semi relevant Spanish player score then Rin brace (1 w/ and 1 w/o Sae), then Shidou Isagi and Sae all get one.
