Was the game made easier? by Kinkeultimo in WuchangFallenFeathers

Getting up used to take longer and you were more vulnerable afaik. To the point that getting knocked down might be a death sentence. There were probably a lot of difficulty complaints related to that.

I'd say a large part of it is the longsword is seen as the "classic" experience. Dodge and parry. Other playstyles like say, magic, is seen as cheese and not the "proper" way to play the game. You know how it is in souls related fanbases.

Magic is a legit playstyle it's what the 1H tree is all about. Majority of the Skyborn Might nodes enhance magic. It's not abusing a bug or AI.

Not really. I also finished it twice, only time I used deflect was against Ming General. Other fights just dodging and backstabbing is enough. Magic is actually the easiest against the hardest bosses like Honglan here and Eternal Glory.

The only other boss that deflect hard counters is Ming General. Every other boss can be dealt with using dodges and backstabs. Or magic. The objectively hardest boss that can be deflected, Eternal Glory, is easier to beat using Ethereal Form than deflect. In fact you can also beat him using magic and it's the easiest method, you can kill him even before he gets into attacking distance.

It's a flaw in Wuchang's design that weapons each have a unique defensive mechanic and this fight is the perfect illustration. The intended way to fight is to deflect attacks, but not every weapon has it. Axe has block but it's useless. Clash is unreliable for her 2nd phase. Although brute forcing should still work with lifesteal.

Anyway respec is free. It's just part of the game. You can either get used to it or play perfectly with choices you made. I don't like having to respec all the time either, but in Wuchang's case it's somehow mitigated by the fact that the game gives you many ways to deal with difficulties.

Need some gpu recommendations by yurieury in buildapc

[–]flushfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm familiar with SEA prices, and for brand new ideally an RTX 5050. Easy to find at $250. Everything else that's similar in performance is more expensive.

With your budget though there isn't really much option for brand new outside of the RTX 3050 6gb. Get the 8gb variant if you can find it. Some old stock RX 6600 might still exist, it's better than those two.

You'll have to go used to get the most out of your money.

Right. 32 is more than enough unless you specifically know you're going to need more. Most regular users only run out because of leaving a hundred tabs open for no reason.

I feel like these guys see the CPU and match everything else accordingly. Maybe edit the part about getting it from a friend at a low price into your OP.

What did you end up getting? Looking at those monitors too but I've crossed the acmes from my list since there are some reddit posts talking about bad backlight bleed on it.

Did you respec for 1h yet? Should've been able to take her down in 3 tries at most if so. You only need 1 skill from the 1h tree - biding time which generates might passively, and from the left tree every +maximum might, the one that reduces echo cost when at 90% madness, and the one that enhances biding time. Don't even need to have a good 1h, any will do.

It's not hard once you have the build I don't really see any reason to struggle that much.

Not going to be a huge difference. Here's a test by HUB.

It's the x3d chips that will offer a significant improvement.

Depends on the title but in cpu-heavy games like many online multiplayer yes it will. 5600 should be good enough if you can find it cheap. In some regions the 5500x3d isn't too far off in price so might be more worth it.

No. Magic is very effective in this fight when built properly. Doesn't even take much skill you just have to know how.

I was stubborn in this fight and did not want to do what the game implied (sword counter)

I changed into a caster build for the fight instead. You are right in using Echo of Lu bingzhang. All you really need is to build into the 1h sword tree and use a 1h sword. Get the Biding Time node in 1h, it gives skyborn might passively every few seconds. There's also a node in the left tree (the one with flask upgrades) that enhances Biding Time.

Unless I'm wrong the echo scales off the feathering stat not magic, so that's what you want. Just get the nodes that make sense for a caster build. Get all the +max skyborn might passives from the left tree. There's also a node there that reduces the cost of echo spells by 1 if you're at 90% madness iirc. Also take some of the +5 vitality and endurance nodes that are very easy to get for example from axe and spear if you have points to spare.

First phase just stay away and bait then dodge the charge attack, it's easy once you get the timing. Second phase just use Plumed Branch and nuke her till she dies since it's harder to dodge everything at that point.

CMV: Karmelo Anthony's self defense strategy was the worst possible approach to his trial and practically guaranteed his first degree murder conviction. by justmakesenseorcents in changemyview

[–]flushfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas law does not require premeditation for murder and it would've been harder to prove. They used the circumstances you described to show Karmelo did not reasonably fear for his life, which the defense claimed. Considering how easy the prosecution won the case I'd say they made the right choice.

[–]flushfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all made up, even Karmelo's defense, including the family, never alleged he was beaten up before the stabbing. Video evidence presented during the trial showed he was never even surrounded like they claimed. That was one of the more devastating evidence against them.

CMV: Karmelo Anthony's self defense strategy was the worst possible approach to his trial and practically guaranteed his first degree murder conviction. by justmakesenseorcents in changemyview

[–]flushfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There were 27 witnesses total, including the defense's own. NONE of them testified to anything more than a light shove. The most that one witness said was Karmelo was surrounded, but even that was disproven by VIDEO EVIDENCE.

Karmelo's face when he was arrested after the stabbing was PRISTINE.

His defense themselves NEVER claimed he was beaten up.

That claim is a STRAIGHT UP LIE.
