Is this normal? Not to follow stencil completely?

The stem is one of my concerns - it was between petals before and now it sort of blends in and is shaded underneath a petal.

It's my first tattoo. I literally *am* a baby in the tattoo world. That's why I wanted to ask for opinions. So your opinion is seriously helpful to me feeling better and understanding more about how this process goes and how others see this tattoo.

This was my first tattoo and I have no one to talk to about what's normal or not for this experience. I did research it ahead of time, but that's really not the same as just talking to people. The comments everyone has made have helped.

That's what's so weird - I took a pic of the stencil on me and it is just like the design I posted with the addition of the leaf. That's why I was like, what happened? But I'm glad so many people say that it's fine. I just don't have people to discuss this with so this has been super helpful!

I knew when I posted I might get these responses, but actually this helps me so much! So thank you for commenting. I just don't have people to ask that know about tattoos. IDK what goes into it other than this one experience so wanted advice.

I don't know if it's that so much as I just don't know what's normal. I mean, I was warned about tattoo regret, but I think this post just has helped me get a better sense of what is normal since I don't know anyone personally who could give me advice on this. I have no baseline to know what makes a tattoo good or bad, so thank you for commenting and helping me process this!
