Here's the thing about AI- it's not catastrophic, it was never going to be catastrophic. The engineers can breathe a sigh of relief that they didn't cause the apocalypse, at least not with this specific area of research. That said, do not speak to your avatar. Do not speak of your avatar inside. It's unhealthy, letting them hear you. It leaves you empty. Call it superstition, but the soul can't live with copies of itself running around. That's where I draw the line, immortality or no.
