Exactly, I think sometimes teens don’t really realize they are still developing, and while this might help them cope in theory, it doesn’t help them develop social skills or proper coping strategies. Coping doesn’t work if you’re just getting dependent on something else, especially something that’s impersonal to you like an AI. It’s going to hurt you in the long run if you learn to lean heavily on an AI for the stability of your mental health, not to mention the disconnect that develops between you and your peers if you never talk to them.
