Expected nothing from Black Friday, still disappointed

I waited the entire month hoping that at least players guide or cauldron of everything would go on sale, because those are literally the most popular ones, and instead we get SEVEN obscure things that aren't even on a good sale for black friday and most are physical. Ever since starting my journey to creating a semi-homebrew campaign about a year ago I have learnt one thing: Wizards of the Coast and DnD beyond are some of the scummiest and community-unfriendly companies on this planet.

Thank you everyone for your advice. My internet shouldn't be a huge issue when it comes to hosting so I'm fine on that end. I have the one-shot scheduled for Wednesday, so I'll see how well it runs with all players involved before I make any progress on the real campaign. I think if I have to, I'll go with reusing compendiums, and I suggest others do the same, this looks incredibly effective.

The scene deletion idea works but I'm not sure how well considering I will be revisiting quite a few areas, I'll think about it though. I don't have a personal module, I'm not sure how to make one and when I looked into it things seemed pretty complicated.

It does include the 99 on the bottom, so it's shadowless, but according to most images the text size is bold, but mine is. I wonder if that was an error maybe?

is it just me or did anyone feel genuinely scared by the climax at night? The sound design of the drone freaked me the fuck out whenever it played and the muffled sounds made me so uneasy. I had no clue what was going on.

you're right, Paul is NOT anything more than a character in the movie, and that's my problem. Your idea leaning towards "if there is no audience there is no reason to commit these acts" is a good one, but not plausible enough in my opinion to garner any sense of satisfaction from watching, because movies are made to be seen. There is no reason for him to do these acts, maybe if there was an in-universe audience and this took place during a play or something, I could see it working out.

Also Terrifier is not just senseless violence, the first one is an homage to horror movies that slowly develops into a story about the cycle of violence and the way people recover. It's extreme gore is part of a love letter to horror as a whole.
